Trust me, unless Tamim flops big time in the coming year, he's getting tons of interest in next years auction...
that may be true but pollard threw himself out there during the champions league I mean after that ridiculous innings anyone could have guessed he was gonna get a big contract thats why what i mean when i said they have to do something in the t20 world cup. you need to show off when the people are watching and they will def be watching during the t20 world cup.

jhunjhunwala of course doesn't even make the bengal ranji team any more and has had a moderate IPL so far.
S Tiwary has played only 19 FC matches let him settle in and then after 3-4 years we shall see about his FC average or quality. Mind you, I am not saying that Tiwary is a rubbish player and have no intentions of singling him out. But there are several players in the IPL who just look plain ugly against short pitched bowling in moderate-slow Indian pitches. The short ball ploy was used by Bangalore in one game and it choked the IPL star Yousuf Pathan like a chicken in a slaughtering machine. And this is where I don't see the benefit of playing such a league, the lesser our players know about boom boom cricket, the better it is for us.
Add to that the fatigue factor, they are humans too, Bangladesh team played cricket since January without any break, add another 7 weeks of IPL and you will have a Bangladesh A team visiting England in May.
I see what you are saying, handling the pressure, exposure to such greats of the game, playing in different conditions should be really useful to any player. But all these comes with a cost, where the benefit[of playin in IPL] is enjoyed by the player, the cost falls on the whole nation.
IPL is a good experience, but according to me the priorities should be
International Cricket
Domestic FC in SA, Aus,Eng
Domestic FC at home
Rest
IPL or any other T20 comp

Remember, a drawn test against SA in SA will be way more valuable than a T20 victory against a world XI.

A lot will depend on their performances in the T20 World Cup but Shakib and Tamim should be picked up. Tamim performed quite well against India and is getting better with every game while Shakib is already one of the better players in the world so I imagine they will both be picked up.

my bad, I didn't see the S, I thought you were talking of manoj tiwary. saurabh tiwary plays in a plate group ranji team so there's that point as well.

about the short ball stuff, yes many sub-continent batsmen are uncomfortable against it but then so are aussie, saffer, poms uncomfortable against good spin. it's about what you grow up playing.
and given how some aussie players have fared against pace and bounce (last night's david warner against dinda for example) I don't see too much into it.

what I also do not get is why you are insisting on comparing the various tourneys, people will have the option of playing both IPL and county etc. of course, I don't agree that any tournament can destroy a player.

A. Razzak long gone. No contract any more.

Mash - Probably last year of his contract.

Ash - Probably his contract also finished.

Again, no one is getting a charana poisha. The local Indian batsmen are miles ahead of any Bangladeshi players, sad but this is the truth. Manish Pandey, Both Tiwarys, Kohli, Karthik N. Ojha even an on song Saha will be selected ahead of foreign Bangladeshi players. Why? Because they are way better T20 batsmen than these blokes.

according to Bond bhai, only Ashraful is the decent Bangldeshi batsman? and the rest are worse than Indian tom dick and harry?
FYI
Tamim is perhaps one of the top 10 opening batsmen in the world. Aus, NZ, Eng, WI, Zim, Pak will be happy to have him in the team.

There are too many foreign players in each team, i'm sure All the teams will reduce a few next year...... forget about bd players, unless someone is extra ordinary during world cup and shows similar form consistantly after that. In short A sensation in T20 format..........

Or how they treates players, eg Mashrafe. I am glad our players arent any part of it. Dont get me wrong, I would love to see them there, and take part in the future. But AFTER they establish themselves. If Shakib got picked up last year, i am pretty sure, he wouldnt be #1 ALL rounder still. And because he didnt get picked, he became #3 Test bowler. And its bigger then playing in IPL...
BTW, Shakib is also the No2 bowler in ODIs. Saw it myself on the rankings on one of the cricket channels.

IPL kills a player's temperament, it is boom boom batting and many a player becomes frustrated. Better if a few of the players gets English County Contracts, but so far, only Shakib has gotten a chance.

Bangalore chosen Kallis, Taylor, Steyn and White for today's match against KKR. Do you think Razzak could be better than any of those players? They did not even select Pieterson for the game. ... he was sitting in the bench. Moreover, they had Kumble, Kumar and Sriram as spinners .....

Razzak had no chance. Shakib could be a better choice.

Most likely tamim. I hope sakib gets picked coz look at current ipl3. Top wkt taker is a spinner. Spinners have proven to be the best.

Ash needs a psychiatrist wife (child physic). She have spend years to develop his bird brain! Meantime, he will become a father, and more responsible.
She is his only hope to comeback.
