Uncertainty over our 2010 England tour?
Yorkshire offer Pakistan 'second home'
Quote:
Yorkshire's chief executive, Stewart Regan, has welcomed the prospect of Pakistan taking on Australia in England next summer, and believes that if Headingley was able to secure one of the two Tests that have been proposed in the PCB's draft itinerary, the match would attract far more interest than the England Test against Bangladesh that is currently on Yorkshire's agenda for 2010.
The Bangladesh tour, which has yet to be confirmed by the ECB, is scheduled to take place in May and June next summer. But having witnessed the difficulty that Durham has faced this week in attracting a crowd to the ongoing Test between England and West Indies, Regan is not optimistic about the level of interest for such a low-key series.
"As with football and rugby, it all depends on the quality of the opposition," Regan told Cricinfo. "If you are hosting the Ashes, as we are fortunate enough to be doing this summer, then you'll never have any problems filling games, but if it is a lesser opponent - and I mean no disrespect to Bangladesh - then you are going to have difficulty in selling out.

Well, then lets make up the difference this coming event.
Let the boys put such a performance that people would come out in flocks to watch our national flag being waved in their stadiums.
Let this be another reason for the boys to fire up.

This is a joke. Why there is no crowd in chester-le-street even when the opponnents are West Indies is not Bangladesh's fault.

I like Chris Gayle wouldn't be too sad to see Test Cricket go away if the current FTP concept is not modified and strictly enforced.

Don't worry guys its only Yorkshire raised the question ,who has neglected the Asian community for decades and all of a sudden they care WHY I ask.
ECB will stick with ICC's FTP. Can you imgine if 3 major country (India,Australia and England) starts to refuse FTP then what would happen to ICC.
If that happens we will see more and more rebel leagues in near future. ICL and APL will become more rich as the ICC will start to break day by day.

The real issue is England has become crap. Hence the crowd don't want to come and see the match. In Football at least they have foreign star players.

The reason why there are less crowds in West Indies Vs England game, is because they are saving money to see the T20, games. which is only few weeks away.
West Indies is not a crap team. then why there are far too less crowds, Use your Common sense ECB
