RazabQ: On the up-side - Master of idioms, intellect of Ivy League, and the kind of person that would make Bangladesh look good to foreigners. On the down-side - Attitude of Nuevo-bourgeois, frequent manifestations of dual personality (as mod, as myself) .

Sauron - anyone who takes his nick from Tolkien's masterpiece is alright by my books. Also has a penchant for plain speaking - which I admire.
BTW, Sauron, you do know that Tolkien was a Kaffir-hating Afrikaner by birrth right? I mean just look at his color coding on LotR.

Breaking the norm of this thread, coz I already commented on RazabQ.
I knew that he was born in SA, and spent a few years of his very early childhood there, but I thought after that it was all England. Also, I did not hear about his kaffir-hating ... is this a documented common knowledge? You're pulling my leg, I suspect.
Anywayz, given the environs of the era and society that he was a part of, I won't be very surprised if that was what his view of the world was. If you are purely focusing on class division, nothing could beat Mahabharat and other Hindu epics. But I digress.
PS - Did a quick google search and found this bit of biography - http://www.tolkiensociety.org/tolkien/biography.html

Yes Just wanted to see your reaction. But I have to confess, my take on reading the 5 middle-earth related books as a 8th grader and then 2-3 years ago as an adult have been quite contrasting. Back then I was taken in by the sheer fantasy of it all. And I loved the prose. Now I am struck by the subvert racism, and the scale and structure involved.
BTW if you haven't, you should read J.B. Priestly. Pretty good.

G-Rated??? That's sarcastic, right?
sobboshachi? What is the left hand doing when the right hand is busy?
And of course you are friendly!!! The fact that we all have to say sorry to you everyday, to me that is just very smart. Thanks for not naming yourself "Sorry Sir" though

I have a gut feeling that Mr. Sauron has EEE background.

:embaressed:
আর আপনার গাট-ফিলিং তো দুর্দান্ত! এই রকম গাট ফিলিং আমার থাকলে কাজে আসতো।
reverse_swing: Moderates in moderation, comes off as a very grounded smart and mature guy. But I suspect there is a naughty-boy side that usually remains suppressed by the moderator person. The lone moderator (Nasif and Arnab are not mods) to consistently promote Bangla in this forum ... and my greatest respect for that.
And, last but not the least, reverse_swing appears to have acutely accurate gut-feelings

Miraz - new comer who's willing to put in long logical arguments on why Ashraf & Aftab are the 2nd coming! I don't agree with him often but at least he isn't pulling stuff out of his non-eating orifice. Also one of the few to respond to my U-19 vs A team thread

Extremely loquacious and voluble person who appears to have something to say about everything. On rare occasions he is right. Make that very rare. He knows his cricket. His favorite word is "twirling".
j/k redundant
