The scorecard shows lot of improvement-, we have fought well to improve on our first innings performance. Usually it is difficult to bat during the second innings; but we have bettered our first innings total by by solid 6 runs. Kudos boyz!

On a dead game hampered by weather and not knowing if the play can get underway or not, North American BC members (majority) would not be staying up. At least I am speaking on behalf of me.

An monster with 11 hollow heads, which claims to be getting better, but is doing the opposite.
Either that or the England rugby team.

Defeat & disgrace
from The Daily star
Mohammad Ashraful's men had a squabble with the Bangladeshi supporters after their innings and 129-run defeat against the Protaes at the OUTsurance Oval here on Saturday.
Since their arrival in South Africa, the Tigers got all out support and hospitality from the Bangladeshis despite defeat in the one-day series. But the expatriates lost their patience after the heavy defeat in the first Test.
They hurled abuse at the players as they were boarding the team bus and it was not possible for Bangladesh vice-captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza to keep his cool. The pace spearhead got down from the bus and got into a heated exchange of words with the fans. To make things worse some other players joined in.
Team operations manager Shafiqul Haq Hira however eased the situation and avoided any untoward incident.
"They [supporters] actually used abusive words and some of our players also reacted as they were also frustrated after the defeat. It's nothing so big," said Bangladesh skipper Mohammad Ashraful.
Over the last few days some Bangladeshi supporters have been showing their angers towards some particular players who didn't even response to them.
"We watched the match sacrificing many things but it was frustrating the way they performed and some players' behaviour was also frustrating," said a supporter.

I would be disgusted at the above article, however I'm more disgusted at the drop catches, wild swings at balls way outside of off-stump, silly running, missd stumpings.

Not that this justifies it, but players back in the 90's and the 80's had to deal with a lot more during Abahani vs Mohammedan matches.
Fans and players both need to grow up. What more can you expect from a team full of batsmen unfit for test cricket on a tour of South Africa facing the likes of Steyn, Morkel and Ntini? And what more can you expect from Bangladeshi fans given that unconstructive and abusive criticism is a way of life for most Bangladeshis?
The fact is that we will have to wait for a whole new generation of players to be able to compete with the top teams on a regular basis. Until then, let's support what we have and keep expectations in check. It's a game - don't hang yourself for it.

I dont think anyone is that surprised by this result.. it was all over the walls. Simply put, our entire cricket management team is clueless about Test cricket. We have said this multiple times and it means nothing to the selectors, coach or the captain that you need to have a different mindset of players for test team. It is simple as that. EVERY COUNTRY has separate squads for test team except Bangladesh and ZImbabwe. We simply dont get it and wont get it unless we have a board that is intelligent enough to realize the basics of cricket. If a failed captain like Lipu is head of operations and a worthless player like Rafiqul is our cheif selectors,,, what else can you expect? Its a mess everywhere,, no A teams, no High Performance squad, no U-19 team excitement, nothing in the pipeline.... I would rather have Lobi/Koko/Faruque be back than this doofus mis-management team.
