death to the management (figuratively speaking)
Leaving Syed Rasel out of an ODI tournament is the dumbest thing the BCB has done since I've been following cricket. Asides from branding Mohammad Rafique a ODI specialist and robbing him of around 50 Test wickets, the BCB is out to again mitigate what a promising young career. And this one actually hurts us more.
I've stuck up for Siddons a lot recently to the ire of Miraz and Eshen, but if he has something to do with Rasel's absence, I can't forgive him. He should go NOW.
I am beginning to smell a conspiracy here. When a team drops a Syed Rasel in favor of a Farhad Reza and Dollar Mahmud, I will always ask questions.
Here are our pacers stats against Great 8 sides:
Rasel: 23 matches, 26 wickets, 34.30 avg, 4.55 econ
Farhad: 15 matches, 10 wickets, 50.90 avg, 6.27 econ
Dollar: 2 matches, 2 wickets, 34.50 avg, 8.62 econ
Shahadat: 13 matches, 7 wickets, 81.42 avg, 6.26 econ
Mash: 45 matches, 41 wickets, 46.24 avg, 5.23 econ
Rasel is far better than any of our other pacers, mashrafee included. for him to left out for no reason, warrants an explanation from the BCB and all those responsible.
Bangladesh will not achieve anything by playing their sub-par XI.
