Keep an eye on Tanvir Ahmed in BPL.

Expect some shocking decisions.

That umpire is not fit to be umpire. He made us look bad. Why do we need umpire like him, his cricket career should be over.

After that 8mins of stop play Bangladesh play lost the momentum.

Braithwaite should also get fine for his behaviour.

Brathwaite was desperate as anything. Killed the momentum, Das was going great guns. They know the slower you make it the more chances concentrations will be lost. It worked. That long delay worked in windies favour. U pore should have given das out! Maybe BD pther batsmen wouldnt have done those reckless batting

It’s a tough job. Gets no respect from fans or players. Same for NBA, NFL.

But he is not the reason why you lost.

You lost because the other team played better cricket.

I know hard to admit, but true

Also, both umpires and TV umpire SHOULD NOT be from the host nation.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

And it showed. International players will second guess every decision and they will challenge openly.

Which also happened.

That umpire needs to quit umpiring and go to the nearest eye clinic

Alteast someone is speaking the truth. Momentum or not, who the hell plays the same shot as the previous batsmen and sends the ball at the same fielder to get out? Yes am talking about Shakib.

It was a pathetic shot from Shakib. He didnt need to do that he isnt a newbie or limited, he can score freely, catch up after even with slow start. Its like they lose their senses like Amir khan film ghajini where loses mem every certain time

We have also seen one sided umpiring during T20I series against AFG in India.

it's only a conflict of interest if you thnk they won't do their job properly. Country of origin has little significance here. Umpires can also be taking bookie money if he wants to but as his duty to the job we assume he doesn't just like we assume that origin of country is a non factor here.

ppl will second guess because thats what they do but there is no conflict. He was just a poor umpire. I have no problem with the whole official being of Bangladeshi origin. you think u will say same thing regarding the officials if they were all australian and it was a australia match? or you judge them with a higher standard? because that becomes a race debate

For those of you wondering - it's fair game to have both umpires from the host nation (in this case, Bangladesh) in T20s.

Does it matter where he hails from though? An incompetent umpire is still incompetent.

There you go. Finally a sensible post.

No umpire will show allegiance to their country in expense of their professional career. It will only happen if they are directed like that of matches involving India. Because then their career is not at jeopardy.

You called my post sensible. If only I could return the favour.

By the way, why is nobody talking of the batsman Liton Das?

The umpire may have been plain incompetent, but the batsman simply standing there and planning to face up to the next ball after watching and digesting the events on the giant screen and the resultant pandemonium is nothing short of a bonafide cheat.

Did the buzz of the home crowd get to him? Did he figure that he'll slip under the radar as it was the umpire who was in the spotlight? Did he need a score to be retained before Bangladesh's next series?

Remains to be seen, but he's certainly no Gilchrist.

its ok i dont need the return favor. ur thoughts are bias regharding india so its ok. it is very common for major sporting nations to get the benefits from umpires . they are directed to do so. FIFA does this in WC .. open secret.

india exit from any major event is an economic blow ..and they would get the benefit in major events. officials are directed.

the faster u accept that the more sensible u will become

No need to call him cheat, he is just incompetent.
Or may be he had a bad day like Nigel Long few days ago giving Pujara out twice and Rahane once in same innings, all three decisions were rejected thanks to DRS.
And the way Ocean was bowling no balls after no balls may be his eyes got used to eat lol
