Default Bangladesh should try and host 2027 world cup (50 over)

If stadiums like pabluchal(70k capacity) and sheik kamal (100k capacity) get built along with other improvements, in this time frame, I dont see why they shouldn't. Possible venues could be sheik kamal, pabluchal, sylhet international, shere bangla, zour ahmed,a new stadium, sheik abu naser and other stadiums that can be renovated.

This is wishful thinking if it’s the men’s 50/50 as usually the sub continent hosts the match( barring Afghanistan and Pakistan).

It usually is a joint bid.

Of course its 50 over every world cup (50 over) is 4 years and t20 world cup would not be placed in the same year as 50 over world cup.

Not really India is hosting champions trophy (2021 if it still takes place) and world cup 50 over (2023) by itself as well as the 2016 t20 world cup. Also Bangladesh has jointly hosted the 2011 tournament (along with the opening ceremoney) and hosted by itself the 2014 t20 world cup (which I think was a success) and the 2016 under 19 world cup not to mention hosting countless asia cups(2012,2014,2016 t20 format) so why don't they try and do it?

Then you are truly misinformed! Last Word Cup was 2015. Next World Cup is this year and after that 2023.

In the past sometimes the span has been different as well.

So it was not obvious at all. That’s why I advised you to be more specific.

Ok you are right there about India hosting the WC for the 1st time alone. But in the past it wasn’t.

Hosting a World Cup is different to hosting other kinds of cups. And due to the WC being on a rotation it might go to Oceania.

So why can't they host a 50 over world cup? That rotation thing is flawed the ICC will consider nations that want to host their first ever one rather than one which has hosted more than once.

Nice of you to change the date (which might change as well) but you really should put 50/50 or ODI for good measure. But hey that’s the Bangladeshi style I guess

Tentatively South Africa & Zimbabwe are set to host 2027.

This is of course contingent on their government revoking the law from a few years ago barring them from hosting any global tournament, after the fiasco with FIFA and the IPL bonus scandal among other things.

2027 might not be possible as am sure it will be outside Asia, since India will host 2023 WC. Bangladesh should get things ready, more stadiums ready, infrastructure ready by 2031. then theres a big case to go for a sole WC. Am sure by then BD roads, infrastructure, accommodations will be much better in more places with many more world class stadiums in other cities and towns. With the addition of Coxs Bazar stadium, One in North BD Rangpur, one down south Between near Khulna and Barisal Border by near the Padma bridge. Will add good mix of venues/locations.

Bangladesh, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and the like should aim to pick up a World T20. They can try for 2024 or 2028.

Those stadiums aren't happening. Those are just some ambitious nonsense said by the government to brag about every now and then.

if I am not mistaken, T20 WC will have more teams than ODI WC. So that will require more stadiums and better infrastructure. India may be better suited for T20 WC while the smaller countries can go for ODI WC.

They should just stick with 2011 ODI WC format. If its in Asia, split it between India/BD/SL. It makes for a festive season all throughout the subcontinent. Diff style pitches and crowd environment makes for a fun watch too.
