I was hoping to see what was Bashar's comment when he was introduced to Imrul.

I read it in the 'Shonibar er crorpotro' itself in the morning.
Pore mone holo, he is a hard working person who makes way for broadening his own talent. And I totally agree.

Imrul has been a great find for us. I first saw him when we played WI in WI. I was incredibly impressed by his composure, willingness to stay in the wicket and his grit. Unfortunately he could not convert those into performance early on, and hence alike a lot I started to want him out of the team.
But the management showed faith in him, and he has been performing consistently in both tests and ODI since last Eng tour. Expecting many more from you Imrul!

That was a nice read ! Seems like most of our players apart from Tamim and Mash are shy and introvert ... God bless him and hope he serves BD for a long time !

Fluff piece with the only interesting point being that when Bashar was introduced to him and saw him first in action, he didn't think much of him. Basically the guy has a hunger for runs.
The rest is utter tripe.

Sometimes it is not the reporter's fault. He/she gets forced by the chief editor to fill out certain area of the paper and kind of burdened to write a piece which may not carry any research or investigation at all, mere facts in a new bottle kind.

So now we have "motu" and "potu" as our opening pair?
Not a bad combination.

Meherpur is also well known for special mutton. Goats are neutered nice and early and fed only jackfruit leaves, contributing to the unique tenderness and flavor. In the old days, legend has it, some of the more promising kids were raised separately for the 12 Bhuyans and fed only tuberose (Rajanigandha). The Mughal Nawabs continued the tradition as did the British and their puppets later on.
On topic: HaBa thought very highly of Imrul after his first season with Khulna Division and identified him as a top prospect in the electronic as well as the print media.

What a touching article! Got my mum to read it as i cant read Bangla unfortunatly. A lot of people have recently citing Imrul to be out of the team. Imrul has been one of our leading run scorers in recent time and the partnership that both he and tamim get most of the time are probs the best opening partnerships that we have ever been capable of achieving in our short cricketing history. May Allah help him to continue to nuture his talent. I have a feeling that one day Imrul will make it big for bdesh cricket. Inshallah.

That's good to hear then, we really want our selectors to find guys who show promise and have the discipline, no more ashrafuls(like the current one-wouldn't mind the one who smashed the english). Pilot being a selector isn't a bad idea IMO as he has seen many players first hand. all the best to habibul and the new selectors-hope they do a good job

Shouldn't Siddons be complimented as well for this man's success? People often relate Tamim's success to Siddons, i think Jamie has done a good job with both Imrul and Zunaid, though Imrul showed more promise.
On topic: Imrul seems to have a lot of passion for cricket; his own cricket academy (while he himself is in a learning curve) is a testament of that.
