4 of the Bangladesh batsmen averages over 25. Can't remember if it happened before. If pilot scores 60 then 8 of the Bangladesh batsmen can have averages over 20. Not bad!

No. Only two batsmen (Bashar 97 at Peshawar and Ash 98 in Harare) had scored nineties before

Ok another question, - max # of 50+ partnerships in an innings?

I count 4 in this one. Bhatija & Golla, Bashar & Ash, Bashar & Rajin, Rajin & Pilot. Plus another in the offing - 48 between Rafique & Pilot so far.

Don't know at the moment. I'll check it tonight if no one posts it by that time.

Damn we are jinxed to some extent, Mashud just missed his 50 by one run!

But that was a record 7th wicket partnership against Zim

If rafique hangs on there will be 4 50s here (at least!)

135.6 Cremer to Mohammad Rafique, SIX, tosses up, comes forward and heave
it over long-off fence for a big Six!

Nobody had hit more than three sixes in an innings before Rafique hit this six off Cremer.

In the 2004-05 season, Bangladesh conceded 10 sixes. We have so far hit 24 sixes !!!

Default Personal Highest Scores achieved this innings

well longest innings is one the cards as well. in any case this one has been more productive with a higher run rate.

personal highest scores achieved this innings so far with 7 wickets down

Nafis 56
Rajin 89 (not 90, that was an error according to crickinfo)
Mashrafee 37*

I am not upto writing an article, Dr Z, but I'll assist whoever is writing in digging up anything.

More from Aslam :

488 is not the highest score without a century stand, though it may appear from the earlier post that it is so. These are the top entries :

533 Aus v WI Adelaide 1968-69
520 Ind v Aus Adelaide 1985-86
499 Eng v Aus Adelaide 1891-92
485 Aus v Eng Sydney(1) 1903-04
484 NZ v Eng Lord's 1949
475 Eng v Aus Melbourne(2) 1894-95
475 WI v Ind Bridgetown 1961-62
474 WI v Eng St John's 1985-86
473 SAf v Aus Cape Town 2001-02
472 Eng v Zim Lord's 2003
471 Aus v SL Colombo(SSC) 1992-93

But Bangla score has become the largest without a 100 as well 100 stand.

Tintin, correction: the 4th wicket partnership was a 119 run stand, a record for Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe (but not an overall BD record). So this BD score of 488 is merely the 4th highest without a century. Your last table above: is that BOTH w/o 100 and 100 stand, or just w/o 100 stand? In either case BD would not be in that table because of the 4th wicket stand.

FoW: 1-91 (Javed Omar, 36.6 ov), 2-93 (Nafis Iqbal, 39.1 ov),
3-153 (Mohammad Ashraful, 57.2 ov), 4-272 (Habibul Bashar, 86.6 ov),
5-283 (Aftab Ahmed, 92.1 ov), 6-341 (Rajin Saleh, 113.5 ov),
7-410 (Khaled Mashud, 133.4 ov), 8-472 (Mohammad Rafique, 144.2 ov),
9-480 (Tapash Baisya, 146.6 ov), 10-488 (Mashrafe Mortaza, 149.3 ov).

I had to hit the sack when the modem started acting up before tea, so missed our dismissal for 488. That was dissapointing they didn't get to 500+ after being so close. Psychologically it would have been good for BD cricket to get a 500 score. Of course Mashrafee would have to have gotten his 50 and Tapash needed to score some runs but that didn't happen.

But I'll take the 4 wickets at the end as consolation!

btw here's one more: 8th wicket stand of 62 is also a BD v Zim best for BD but not a BD record overall.

Z, today is a busy day, maybe late tonight I can collborate with you on that stats article, although I feel we should wait for some bowling records as well.
