Lets have some patience. One performance against Dhaka Div bowlers, shouldn't start a chorus...
Two wickets that have fallen, Ash has taken one of them... And pretty much (except the WK) everyone else had a go with the ball...

Hope mushy isn't too injured, and hope tamim and mominul continue on tomorrow. As far as tests go I don't think nasir should be left out even if riyad is the one who has to make way. Rubel should be in if he is fit, I think mominul deserves a call the most.

1 thing that can concerns me is the lack of big innings by any teams. Only CTG looks like they'll cross the 400 barrier.
Also besides a few standout players, just not enough big scores from the individual batsmen. A lot of their batsmen did not even get starts which is a concern. The spinners obviously did well and the pacers were pretty good as well.
Now moving to the individuals. I had a feeling Tamim would go off today but was concerned that he would take this league too lightly and then get out. Happy to see that didn't happen and now should be looking for a double hundred. Even though these are domestic bowlers, it's important that Tamim has the longer version mindset and doesn't get out after throwing away a start against WI.
Day by day Mominul looks to be getting closer for a national team call up. He looks more ready then the fellow youngster Anamul and is the most deserving uncapped player. Lets hope he continues on and beats out his previous score of 150.
Naeem once again has proven why he's regarded as 1 of the best FC batsmen in BD. Unlike his compatriots, he shows the necessary patience in order to play a long innings. He should be able to retain his spot in the Test team after good performances. Now he needs to focus on that hundred and continue on from there.
Finally, Soumya has proved himself once again. The way he can attack the bowling is impressive and should be one of the leaders once again in the NCL.
Lets see what day 2 has in store for us

Mushfiqur Rahim and Saqlain Sajib have been taken to hospital after suffering an on-field collision during the opening day of Rajshahi Division's National Cricket League match against Dhaka Division in Mirpur. Of the two, Sajib was worse off after showing signs of disorientation. Mushfiqur, the Bangladesh captain, was taken for an MRI scan and was seen walking around in the dressing room a few hours after the incident.
The pair went for a catch near the fine-leg boundary after Dhaka's No. 11 Mohammad Shahid top-edged a Farhad Reza bouncer off the last ball of the 45th over.
"The collision took place at around 1.30pm. They were given first aid but Saqlain was disoriented, he had memory loss. Mushfiqur was struck on the side of his face but he looked in better condition," Dr Debashish Roy, the BCB's chief medical officer, told ESPNcricinfo.
"Saqlain had to be taken to the hospital immediately for a CT scan. Mushfiqur was in my room for a while before we took him for an MRI. He has responded better and as far as I am concerned, he will recover quickly. But still, we didn't want him in the field."
Farhad Hossain, who was nearby when the collision happened, said that Sajib was struck on the left-side of his face while Mushfiqur's nose immediately started to bleed. "Saqlain looked in bad shape. He couldn't recognise anyone, but hopefully he'll recover quickly," Hossain said. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ncl-12/c...P=outlook_news

CTG looks very balanced with Faisal coming in at 6. And what up with Dhaka metro benching Arafat Sunny. He is a very Good bowler, IMO.

Picking the specialist bowlers for the national team will be a headache for the selectors.

^ For the Test series we already have our 2 specialist spinners -Sunny and Enam Jr, Plus Shakib. As for so called phast bowlers unfortunately Rajib will make the list, most likely Shafiul will too. These 2 will get picked not because they deserve it simply because who else are you going to pick? I hope they don't choose Rabiul, even fatso Aftab a better phast medium bowler than that guy.

for spinners it's definitely shakib, sunny, enamul and for variation you have to throw sohag's name in there. for fast bowlers i think rubel if fit should be there, then it will probably be shahadat or shafiul or slim possiblity of nazmul. when it comes to fast bowlers there are prospects but they haven't had much development or exposure. abul, babu, sajidul, abu jayed, al amin, dolar, subashis, taskin, robin etc sajidul should of had a lot of A team experience by now, dolar to and even subashis. abul, babu, abu, al amin, kazi kamrul and taskin are newer but some of them could have been selected for the recent A team. i keep hearing talk about kamrul rabbi but whenever i notice his results they're generally pretty dire. series.

Why did Sylhet not played Abu Jayed? Dude killed it last season. If he is injured that's one thing, but otherwise no excuse not to play him. He had a ridiculously good season last year. He had 3 5 wicket and 2 4 wicket haul. He didn't get much chance in U19 world cup either. I was looking forward to seeing him perform again this season.

yeah no excuse, definitely should be playing if not injured. even though he didn't get many u19 WC chances he did well when he got the chance, obviously so far in domestic FC he's done amazing so absolutely no reason why he shouldn't play. just look at his strike rate, 39 in FC cricket!
