Bought a Protein shake from ammu's allowance of 10 dollars. The cashier rounded down so I got an even change six dollars back. He handed two scratchers. Now I never played scratchers before. So got free catchers and turns out won a free hotdog.

The other day I went to a dept store. And the cashier was intentionally slowing things down seeing an Asian like me (or so I think). Quietly after the transcation I point out that he didn't ask for cancner donation and the sign says if he fails to ask, I get a free I Litre Soda!

Free 150 bucks worth of Rayban from a random rich lady, which by the way is the most ugliest sunglass I ever saw in my life. It's in my car collecting dust in the original case. I have no idea why in the world I asked for sunglass in the first place and the store I walked in with her had the worst collection ever.

I also got free '5 taka' worth of chanachur from chanachurwala, after my dulabhai already bought '40 taka' worth of chanachur from him. I said, 'o bhai ektu free chanachur den na' well I said it in sylheti and it worked.

I also got free pizza once. Chick came into the restaurant I used to work she wanted some ice cause the ice machine at her restaurant stopped working. I said sure but it's gonna cost you, we charge in terms of pizza. What do you know it worked free tomato basil pizza from California Pizza Kitchen.

And than I asked for the number and got shut down with 'I'm here to deliver this pizza not my number' haire kopal

Cinco de Mayo celebrations got me and some of my PersAm friends free tacos in certain all White, politically correct neighborhoods around Turk street in San Francisco, just because we spoke a few words of Spanish with authentic Puebla accents and appeared drunk.

At that time I was enrolled in college. Had only 50 cents at the end of class with gas gauge low. Needed 50 cents to buy pom-pom to roll incense (scraping off the barrel bruH!!), but how to get gas? Serendipitously, I walk up in a rich Costa Mesa/Newport Beach area and ask a young guy (of my age) for some money for gas. Thought he will give a dollar or something. Holy smokes, he pulls out a thin bundle and gives me 15 dollars for gas.

So being the clever Bangali I am, put 10 dollar on gas and go to next gas station to buy Red Bull while keeping the last two dollars for change.

LOL, it has more to do with us getting stoned. Once, I was high off the chains and went to a undisclosed pizza store. I stood thurr for 10 minutes, yet cashier failed to notice me. When she finally did, she was visible apologetic and offered me a free pizza.

Once, went to watch "Captain Pagoda's Mandolin" or something like that with Nicolas Cage. Told the manager there were some smudge on the big screen and it ruined by viewing pleasure.

He didn't ask question and handed a free screening for the next movie.

Coming from a foreign student's perspective, you gotta love your bangali hookups more. In university we had strategic alliances with bangali friends working in different restaurants, so that we could exchange food for free. I had friends in a pizza store, starbucks, tim horton, university cafes all around, and more.

USA: Waited to 2 hours to have my new home lock to synced with rest of the locks (which i bought from the same store). Since i waited that long the mngr gave it for free (79bucks)...
Germany: during euro 2000, germany was already out and england had to win against portugal, instead portugal won 3-1/2 forgot the exact score line. but germans were so happy they had michil on the streets. whiile walk with such a michil, we were passing a pizza place and all of a sudden the owner came out with free pizza for every one (or as long as it last)...
