what has shan masood done to get selected into the squad let alone the playing xi? they're continuing with adnan, there are also better prospects than umar amin and if azhar ali and asad shafiq don't perform here then there should be serious questions about their positions in the squad/xi. they are solid players but they've had good chances and there are other prospects worth looking into if these guys aren't in form and performing well consistently.

another ton for Amla, still not out on 118 , ajib ekta manush.

Amla & Steyn in the middle, number 1 Test batsman with number 1 Test bowler, this is awesome.

If the pacers are getting wickets, can't help but think what sort of performance Philander/Steyn/Morkel will unleash.

Performing in these conditions against Pakistan was always going to be tough for SA. Honestly I'm happy Pakistan is doing well. SA has dominated in Tests and it would be good to see others challenging them.

I don't know what Moonda's problem is, terming this as an upset. This was barely an upset, #6 beating #1 in conditions familiar to the former.

Felt like Philander and Steyn were finally getting used to the conditions, reducing Pakistan to 7-3 lol.

i always thought tahir was a decent spinner, got 4 in this innings so far, could be a career changer for him.

Pakistan have a habit of making mediocre bowlers look amazing, something we got from them too.

Sad to see Jacques Kallis not doing well in the last two matches. I was just looking at his stats and it seems that if he plays for the next two-thre years, and has reasonably good form, he is a serious contender for breaking Tendulkar's Test batting records. At the time of writing, only 2704 Test runs separate the two and Tendulkar has 7 more centuries and 9 more half-centuries. He already has a better Test average than Tendulkar, not to mention many more Test wickets.

I just hope that he doesn't end up denting these stats over the years...
