New players
In the last couple of years, we've had some exciting new guys:
Kapali blew the competition with his 89* in the last match. Before that, he had a 47 against South Africa.
Masri is ofcourse our speed demon
Ashraful dazzled with his century against Sri Lanka but fizzled a lot more later on.
That's three really good prospects. On a supporting role, we have the following:
Tareq Aziz - We did not have much opportunity to try him in big matches, he still remains a mystery to me. Is he really that good ? We need more proof.
Anwar - He has been around for over 2 years. Has a lot of A games under his belt. But, his batting only came to light in the last couple of months thanks to the Challenege trophy and the last match. His scoring pattern reflects a young Golla. The kid takes his time.
Talha - Benched for some unknow reason. Together with Tapash, has the ability to give us the break through we so badly need. What works against him is that he is expensive but he is a rookie, give him a break.
Moni Jr - Not too sure about him but he does wonders against OUR national players. May not be as effective against foreign (MATURE) players.
Any other names come to mind ? ANyone who hasn't been around for more then 3 years ?

Tehsin, I don't think there is any Moni, Jr. He is Enamul Haque, Jr. I don't think he has the same nick name as Moni. Am I wrong?

No, you are right. His name is Enamul Haque. And he is a left-arm slow bowler.

where is nafees??
What happened to Nafis Iqbal. Once read a lot about this kid - that he has a lot of potential. I think he is the nephew of Akram Khan and also was the skipper of under 19 or 17 team in Aus or WI (forgot). Any trace of him?

Md. Sharif - currently injured, but bowled well on really flat pitches of Multan, Pakistan, vs Pakistan and on SL pitches vs SL in test matches - Asian test championship.
Under favorable conditions, in New Zealand, he took a lot of wickets, but as a result of being overbowled and not caring too much, he is now injured.
Tushar Imran - Didn't he score a double century against an Indian provincial side? Needs to mature to be a permanent in test match cricket.
Fahim Muntasir - Bowls a lot better so far on turning tracks, haven't tested him on non-turning tracks yet.
Mushfiqur Rahman - a future young replacement for Sujon.
Ehsanul Haque the mini allrounder - bats decently according to Bangladeshi standard and also bowls a fairly good line and length - not being a specialist bowler, he bowls better than he bats - may be kind of like Naimur, the bowler - who has the ability to bat really well, but in reality bowls a lot better than his competitors.

Fwullah
Besides Sharif, the rest has been around for almost four years or more.
Mushfiq is somewhere between 24-28.
Fahim is anywhere from 22 - 26.
Tusher has been playing for KHulna for the last three National league and don't know is he played in Dhaka before.
Ehsaunl has been playing the top grades for atleast five years. Around 24-28 there.
As for Sharif, he is probably our best weapon with the old ball. The older the better.

HB fan
I feel for you. Are you gonna take our words over Cricinfo ? They had to close their operation down to (well, down to minimal, not complete shut down) because what I would call mismanagement. Also, they relied on the BCB certificates, which we all know are fakes. Just one hint, look at the month of birth for all the players. It's a coincidence that 3/4th of the players were born in either December or January - Imagine that.

Mazhar
Mazharul (Huq Mridul) is a pretty handy player. It's his likeness to Inzy and our very own AKRAM KHAN that puts him off. Loose a few founds and then come back. We could use a guy like him. All that talent hidden under you know what ....
