Does not really make sense why clubs may pay big amounts to pool players, they will only get a handful of DPL matches between Zimbabwe series and tri-nation with Lanka and India.

Are soccer players still making more than cricketers in BD?

Mohammedan is paying Zahid Hasan Emily 18 lakhs this year, I don't think any cricketer has been paid that much yet by a Dhaka club.

To be fair, domestic soccer matches still pull more crowds to the ground than domestic cricket matches do, at least that's what I heard.

Thanks for the clarification. That makes sense, I was wondering why JO or Rajin would agree to play a tournament for 8K or 21K respectively!

Pointless to have NCL T20 and NCL One day tournaments DPL and PCL is there already. I would extend the NCL 4-day matches untill end of Feb or mid march instead.

Zaved bhai, Look at this years Abahani team also.
With the strong defense Abahani has with the inclusion of Rajani, Emily will be lost in the field. Rather not speak about our mid-fielders and strikers......I can't wait to see crush the Mohammedans AGAIN!!!

Looks like Mohamedan will need to give their 110% to prevent relegation to 2nd division.

Now that G-tank dumped Ashraful, they already gained by subtraction. If they can net Shakib, they may win all the way.

Tushar is out and Ashraful is In.... double trouble for Abahoni. One Eid day followed by too many single digit score is not going give then championship.

On paper G tank is the team to beat.

Sakib is hardly ever a force to be reckoned in Dhaka premier league. Last year Biman paid him 12 lakhs and got very little in return. Taking him in a team is more of a publicity stunt (like what Ashraful used to be).

No Ashraful for Abahani. Fazal Mamu will throw a party tonight on this news. Down goes Biman.

Whichever match he played he did good. Moreover, this year's Shakib is like 2.0 version of last years.

That was a private league. You can't compare that with DPL.

Naeem er kotha to kisu likhenai..so janina..

Ashraful was very consistent last year. He was given the player of tournament award for T20. He was also one of the top 10 run scorers in 50 over games. So I don't think Biman will go down.

Mash is not fit. Tamim is a crappy T20 player even in Domestic leagues. So Abahani is down in that sense. They must win the fight to take Shakib if they want to retain the trophy!
