Probably he speaks out of his beliefs.

Mushfiqur is cut from a different thread of illogical thinking

I don't understand what the fuss is about, he is entitled to his personal beliefs, faith and opinion. Thanking God after victory is pretty common among subcontinent players, so he thanked his Shaman for the win so what?

No offense, so your fairytales are the ultimate truth and rest are mumbo jumbo? Look man we should respect all religions/beliefs/faith no matter how different they are from our own.

It's probably using the word 'witchcraft' that's causing the fuss

Thanks for bringing some sanity here man, I don't know what is the big deal about him thanking his Shaman /Meyani or whatever after the victory.

Gents - he didn't just thank his God... he literally said witchcraft helped him and his team win. To make things funnier, Pakistan captain decided to address this with a serious face.

I do like the fact that someone else is taking the bolod-in-chief role. Mushy is no longer alone.. lol.

Must he thank God? Must everyone follow mainstream religions? Why can't he choose a living being to thank? He has the right to follow whatever he thinks work best for him, ridiculing and looking down upon people based on their personal beliefs is borderline bigotry.

PS: Maruf bhai Sorry if I offended you

I can relate this to the first time I have heard when someone spoke Zulu or Xhosa

I am not ridiculing him nor am I looking down upon him based on his personal belief. I just find it hilarious that in this day and age people still believe in stone era magic and witchcraft.

To each their own when it comes to religion. However, if a man is known for witchcraft and he credits his success to that - I personally find it very funny.

Again, my intention for this thread is to bring some smile/ lighten up the mood before BPL 2017 after a horrendous serious. Let's keep religion out of this and have a chuckle.

None taken Roy da.. perhaps I should be more considerate. I was just replying to someone who said it is normal for subcontinent players to thank God.

Brockley mate I am sure you are a humble and God fearing person and I really respect you, I have utmost respect for Christianity and Lord Christ, as a God fearing person I believe you should be more tolerant and let God do all the judging.

Bhai you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. Natural religions, Shamanism etc are radically different from mainstream religions, you may find some of their rituals funny and admitting it here is perfectly all right. I am no witch, vampire or warewolf I still found Brockley's comments in this thread shockingly disturbing.

Okay, I deleted that part of my comment, I was being a little too harsh on Brockley.

This thread gives me an idea of a movie script, where Brockley is the main protagonist, the oldest and most powerful witch and the leader of New Orleans coven fighting a war of survival against religious zealots sponsored by Vatican. Illuminati, Free Masons and Global Warming will have important parts to play. There will also be special appearances from Batman and Dalai Lama giving a msg of peace and harmony in the end. 😂
