Default NZ tour - TIME for CHANGE, big change

after this tour of india which just finished, i think our selectors and coach and management have seen lots of positives and negatives in the current squad, current batting order, current field settings, current bowling tactics. etc etc.

its time for a change, big change. change in personnel, change in tactics, change in batting order. i dont want to suggest drop him take him, play him at this positions. because these have been discussed always in other threads. everybody knows what to be done. but i dont know whether the selector coache and team managemant has the guts to do it.

i just wish this change happens in the NZ tour. lets see what is the squad that will be chosen. lets see if the selectors, coach and management can feel the same like me and you

lol first of all, the team management should be dropped. But don't drop khalud mahmud shujon. Team mangement has no clue about the current batting lineup.

Start the change by dropping LOTUS KAMAL. Otherwise no use of chopping and changing.

These 6 players may to be included in the NZ tour. I am not sure selectors going to take 3 spinners including Sakib in the NZ tour. So, Shuvo is still not sure for the debut or may be he is a option for the tests. Battingwise, not much change.

Selectors have already given our best crop to Siddons. Our current pool don't have the depth to replace any of the 26 players initially selected before the Tri-series. It's up to Siddons to get a group of them click together, there is no outside option left.

hehe what a selection panel..lol

i would pick mahbubul robin instead of rubel hossain. i would drop imrul kayes/ashraful/rakibul for the test match. SN sounds like an odi batsman, i would keep him in just for odis and t-20s. SN needs a chance in odi/t-20 game.

test squad: tamim,Junayed, aftab, naeem, riyad, mushfique, shakib, nazmul, shafiul, Robin, S shubho, shahadat, Rajin Saleh, and Habibul Bashar

odi squad: tamim, junayed, SN, aftab, Ashraful, riyad, naeem, mushfique, shakib, nazmul, Shafiul, Mashrafe, Robin, and Abdur Razzak

T-20: tamim, junayed, SN, aftab, Ashraful, riyad, naeem, mushfique, shakib, nazmul, Mashrafe, and Abdur Razzak

Shakib should be considered as a bowler who can bat a bit, his batting display was horrendous.
My test squad
1. Tamim
2. Mohammed Ashraful (he played a lot better than Shakib, we still have no replacement for him)
3. Junaid Siddique
4. H. Bashar
5. Mushfiq
6. Riyadh
7. Naem Islam
8. Shakib al Hasan
9. Shahadat
10. Shafiul
11. Rubel

I feel that Rocky should be dropped and a chance given to Kapali, I dont think that he can do worse, he is also a good bowler and fielder. In 2008, Rock seemed to be doing well, grafting an innings, albeit slowly, but now, he seems to have lost it.

If Sakib dont improve his batting in ODIs, he will lose his N01 spot as an allrounder within this year.
Rocky should be dropped for the 20/20 WC.

The core team is very good. Individually, and at different times, most of them did extremely well. It is just that they are not able to sustain it, or get everything right at the same time. If the lower order had batted today as it did in the second innings of the first Test, India would now be in deep trouble going into the fifth day. IMO, things will get alright soon and there is no need for anything drastic.

who will Aftab replace? either Ash or Raqib?
Anyway for the test I want Rakib to be replaced by Naeem & Aftab(if he does well in Odi)instead of Ash.
Good to see no SN .

Could not agree more. We need subtle changes in the batting order, nothing drastic.

what was your expectation before the test started? We would win by 2-0?

I for one thought there would be an innings defeat on the cards for sure. 2 100's, few 50's and Ash, Shakib's name not in it is more than what I could bargain for. We didn't even perform this way at WI last year. That is why I am not shocked.

There won't be much change. At best 2 even if that. You have to know our management by now.

I agree. Drastic changes are never good. We need to stick to a core group of 20/25 or so - even through hell and fire - if we are going to become a better side with time. The squad at any given time shouldn't have too many changes.

I want change.... drastic change ... boro rokomer change....drop them like flies...there are basicallly two categories of players: a) the players that scores one big score and think he have done enough for the whole series; and then b) the player(s) they think one big socre in last year should be enough to keep their slot intact.

I say "pachyee ekta lathii mere" we need to send a message BIG time....and to do that we need Boro rokomer jaw breaking change.

Without that I am afraid it will status quo... for the slectors, the coach as well as the players... and we the fans wil contue to suffer clow bleeding.

I ddidn;t liked it the way we lost 4th day and the way the team took it so casually (as admited by Sakib). I think it warrant some shake up....

i want to see the batting order fixed in this tour, that means mushy, riyad and naeem bat middle order, even if it's at the expense of other players, ashraful will perform the same regardless of his batting position so he can bat down at 7/8 for all i care (that's if they play him at all which they probably shouldn't but then with raqib in his situation they probably will).
