Shane Deitz appointed Women's Team coach
Media Release Shane Deitz appointed Women's Team coach
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed former South Australia batsman Shane Alan Deitz as the Head Coach of the National Women’s Team. Under the initial agreement the 38-year-old will stay in charge of the Women’s Team until the end of the ICC World Twenty20, Bangladesh 2014.
Deitz, who appeared in 66 first class matches in a ten-year (1998 to 2008) playing career, had been the High Performance Coach of Wellington Firebirds in New Zealand prior to his Bangladesh assignment. BCB should have appointed someone at least 6 month earlier. What can a coach do in 3-4 months time ? It takes 1 month to know each other and understand every one's game. Anyway, regardless of the outcomes in WC 2014, BCB should continue with him at least 2 more years.

I think you mean Champa Chakma.

I think it's because there are already a lot of SLAs so maybe that's why she didn't make it.
It's a little bit concerning that in our sports teams, it seems there is no real diversity. I know tribal people make up very little of the population but don't Hindus make up about 11% of the population? And yet we rarely see any of them in our sports teams. BCB should try to make an affront to get minority players to be involved in our cricket.
