No test for BD in India at least till March,2017
No test in
India till ’17
Who will watch Bangladesh
play, questions BCCI
official
Mail Today, New Delhi
Bangladesh continues to
be a cricketing pariah for
India. Thirteen years
after an Indian ensured
that the neighbouring
country got the Test
status, Bangladesh is yet
to play a Test match in
India, and it will not play
one at least till March
2017.
As per the Indian team’s
schedule, which is part
of the tender document
for team sponsorship
between 2014 and 2017,
Bangladesh is not
scheduled to visit India
at all even as the Board
of Control for Cricket in
India (BCCI) has ensured
that two teams visit
India every winter,
fetching more income.

Humiliate them in the Asia Cup 2014 and in the T20 WC 2014 - pleasure would be all ours!!

I know India will not invite us anytime soon and it is just insanity.. But why are we not trying to schedule something in England, or South Africa? Cricket is not all about India.
And I personally think we dont have a solid ground to back our demand. We haven't won a single test match against a big team except WI. We need to start winning some test matches against some major teams before we can justify our demand. Lets make our case strong first

I think we got to stop obsessing about playing in India.
It will happen when it will happen.
For all these days that India haven't invited us, they are the one who played most in Bangladesh out of all the foreign teams which is financially more beneficial for us.
That day is not too far away when BCCI will formally request BCB for the Tigers to tour India due to massive public and commercial interest. But till that happens, let us focus on getting more tours to New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Dubai and the other three.

India won't invite as they will think about their new elite status and rank, commercial factors and also so many other things... We should think about playing with others instead of them ... That's reality

I can understand no room in the schedule for the Indian National Team but why can't we organize an A Team tour of India to play India A and top Ranji Trophy sides?
We could pack our squad with our national team youngsters (guys like Nasir, Mominul, Shamsur, Anamul, Gazi, Taskin etc) for the experience and good results might just capture the attention of the Indian Population and thereby creating the demand for a tour.

I think we did recently and there weren't any "good" results to "capture" anyone's attention. Same old story - got a reminder on who the boss is and how much we suck.

do you mean the one where Nafees got sent back?
I agree that "we suck" at the moment since the A tour to England was equally horrendous but still We need more of these A tours regardless of the poor results. Nobody wants to invite the national team because popular perception is our team has no marketability outside of bd. A team tours sponsored by Ruhapza or Akiz biri should be comparatively cheaper and easier to arrange so at the moment that is our next best option.
We used to lose tests inside 3 days and now we can manage draws so there is reason to believe that the A team tour results will improve gradually too if we play abroad more often. We need to pack the side with our national team players and call it A team. A side with 7-8 international players needs to be able to beat county and Ranji trophy sides at least. Until that is possible there no point complaining about lack of tours for the National Team. We have to prove we can be competitive to the people outside

Can we not shrug it off? If India doesn't want to invite us its their problem not ours. Do we lack self respect? Its atrocious to see we are crying for this crap.

It will however be an embaressment if India invite Zimbabwe to play a series in the near future before hosting one with Bangladesh

this is ridiculous, forget 2017, by 2015 we will become the 2nd powerhouse of sub co.
I understand about the Tsts but in ODIs we have become a consistent side specially in sub co. & I believe Ind fans would want to see us for the 1st time playing in India.

India will not loose to us this asia cup, Bangladesh have not beaten india back to back ever... so I doubt it will happen now, + india will be careful this time.
And yes, we need to win test matches a lot more before demanding a tour to the bullies of world cricket AKA india

But we have bangla washed NZ back to back. There is no guarantee that BD will beat India but the chance is higher than before since we have been playing good cricket lately .
