Well the Daily Star did report that hotels are fully booked, journalists cannot find accommodation and people are standing in long queues waiting to get tickets. So I don't think we need to speculate whether or not people are interested or if the stadium will be 140% full when the match begins!
Bangladeshi stadiums are always 140% full for one-day internationals.

yeah, great stadium as it looks.
About the women in the line, it could also be that their male counterparts have sent them to take the advantage of the female counter - I'm sure the male line is much longer. The blackmarketeers will be active everywhere - that's natural. That happens in Dhaka too - and will happen in Bogra too.
People in Bogra won't be as 'fancy-looking' as in Dhaka or Chittagong. Another point to note is that Bogra does not have any major University, Engineering or Medical College - so the usual 'student crowd' will be absent, which is common in all other major cities.

the stadium does look fantastic! Obviously a lot different than the usual carnival-like BNS, but does bear a lot of similarities with those low-capacity stadia of England!

whattt??!!! yo guy (whoever said that) - you know how much money will flow if we have international matches in relatively rural areas? the people are gonna go nuts!! we should be grateful that nobody's been murdered yet!! starvation for food and cricket go hand in hand in this country man!
this aint freakin' jamaica! people actually do keep cricket ahead of not only basketball but also everyday life!
now a test match in dhaka would probably not attract as many people (a crowd of 40,000 is nothing in Bangladeshi standards).
