Default Winning the playoff Final in the U/19 WC not worth a mention in the front page ?

The U/19 team, though missed out a place in the Semis, played well enought to win the play- off Final to end fifth in the U/19 WC 2006. This is the first time that the U/19 attained that position.

But isn't it unfortunate that their acheivement wasn't worth a mention in the front page of a popular Bangladeshi news paper's (Prothom Alo) internet edition ? (Don't know about the print edition)

I understand that the media is much more interested & busy about the upcoming BD vs SriLanka matches. But we should not disregard the feats of those, many of whom will be the one, who will be playing at the National team soon. Not only that, most importantly - acheivements like this are what inspire the nation, the present and the future players of the country.

I have seen it being manshioned in some BD papers in their sport page. Not sure about the front page.

Besides, it doesn't nesserly have to be in the front page. It's not as if they won the cup or anything.

This is the only time the any BD team was respected by its opponent. pakistans eventual win proved that our billing as one of tournament favourites was based on solid form and not on raw emotion. The BD-19 teams development should be continued and the media should focus on their achievements. They are worth first page coverage

if you don't finish up your winning streak wat's the po i nt of winning then? if pak can win the worldcup why we could not reach semi.
It's our top order and U 19 top order should be punished.
