Default Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has proposed Zimbabwe Cricket Board for a full tour in December

Its a good decision made by BCB. I think its valuable to our players because they need to practice and be prepared for the T20 World Cup. I really hope we play more T20 than ODI's e.g. (3 ODI and 3 T20I). I can't think of any other country that would play us in december, so Zimbabwe was/is the last option we had. lets hope more players are given chance in T20 e.g. Shabbir. Source: TV news.

Why not invite the Afghan and the Irish and play a four-nation T20 series?

If we can play Zimbabwe, why not the Irish?

And the Afghans are used to our conditions anyway! We need some T20 match practice if we really want to do well in this format, no?

The title is ambiguous. Are the BCB inviting Zimbabwe over for a home series or are they proposing that Zimbabwe invite us over again? I think we should master playing in our home conditions before the WT20. Also, it is becoming a joke how little cricket we are playing these days. I'd love for it to be a full tour (3 Tests, 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is). I'm sick of us playing 2 Test/3 ODI series and then having to wait 3-4 months for the next series.

Check the groupings and then you will understand why you are wrong.

We will not face Zimbabwe unless both qualify foe the Semi Finala but chances are that we might be in the same.group as Afghanistan or Ireland in the qualifying round given the outcome of the qualifiers or Dubai.

we probably wont have the time for 3 tests as Sri lanka visits us in January. 2 tests, 5 T20s maybe?

I said it for two reasons. MHRAM covered one of those. We will not face zimbabwe in the WC but either of the top two associate out of the Dubai tournament. Which basically means either Afghanistan or Ireland.

Reason two is i think we tried the match practice = benefit approach by playing the associates before the last t-20 WC to no good results eventually. I believe playing them now would benefit them more in terns of getting used to our spinners and conditions then us benefitting from a strong workout. Beating them 3-0 would ensure nothing and would not really expose our weaknesses. We fell into a similar trap before 2011 WC by banglawashing NZ. Everyone was hyped up so much that the regular failings of our batting order except for shakib were not addressed.

More cricket, hell yeah. Very good proposal. OZCB treated us badly accomodation wise last time we toured them. Players complained also mushy talked aout revange. We shouldn't step to their level if zimbos agrees to come. Besides its their cricket boards fault. Why try to punish the players for it?

Lastly, please leave behind pommie mabuga and that other commentator behind. We already have shamim + athar super duo.

Great iniative but I doubt it will happen. ZC probably cant afford to tour and they're undergoing another mass player exodus. This time even black players are dipping. That said if Taylor/Williams/Waller are still there ZIM will have the same team that beat PAK.

Hope it goes through. We need more matches regardless of who we play.

Hopeless initiative. South Africa world's no 1 side is free and looking for matches and we go for Zimbabwe.

Typical BCB messes up again.

Their tour against India ends in December and then they have tour with Australia in February. They basically don't have time either.

By the way, hope this tour falls through. That way we wouldn't have a 3 month break and would keep us fresh.

Does anyone know who we are playing in the qualifying round?

Eff the T20s. We'll quify for the main event and lose all our matches either way. Lets play 3 tests and 5 ODIs against Zim and forget T20 which we suck at.
