an amazing player, an amazing human being, a role model .
We salute you & thank you.

But I personally might not miss him much because I think he played too much cricket.
No matter what the world will miss you.
good luck with whatever you do afterwards.

If there was one player who could claim the perfection tag, it was Tendulkar. Perfect in every possible way. Millions around the world followed cricket just because of Sachin Tendulkar. Even though he is retiring from playing cricket, I believe he will be there contributing to this game in any possible way. I personally hope he will be able to pass on his humble and honest attitude to BCCI.

Salute to Sachin, the only player I couldnt hate when he performed against us

Hard to believe, there will be no Sachin playing cricket after this test. It would feel like something is missing from cricket.

I can never forget how many Indian matches i have watched staying awake at night only for one reason-"watching Sachin bat". He is a true legend and 1 of the best 2 batsman in our lifetime along with Brian Lara. But some Indians are going little too extreme by calling him a God.

@cricketboy: If Shakib was ten times as good as he is now, we'd be calling him god too.

It's unimaginable to me that Sachin will not play anymore. As long as I lived, he was there. I don't know how I feel about that, to be honest.

Gotta hate on BC having a non-BD player banner up for any reason. Can't imagine ICF or Pakpassion ever having a BD player on their banner regardless of how good he might be.

I think the opposite. You are right, ICF or Pakpassion will never put our players. But we are not ICF or Pakpassion. We should try to be better than that. We are respecting a great player, regardless his nationality.

I love the banner!!

Right.

As a cricket fan site, it would be low of us not to acknowledge one of the cricketing greats no matter the country of origin. We don't do this for every Tom, Dick, or Murali. Though we would have for the last one.

BTW. - it's banners. Plural. Rotating 3.

Just switched to the game, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing, chants and screams everywhere! Sachin dealing in boundaries as well it seems.

I feel lucky to have seen Sachin bat live 4-5 times. And the best part is, across all three different formats.

And watching him LIVE in India, is an experience in itself.. I honestly got goosebumps!

The Maestro will be missed..

India team has the batting riches to replace his production for the last 3-4 years but I doubt if they will ever replace the man and the brand.
Yep, exactly!

The way WI is batting, this is probably the last time he'll be at the crease.

Goodbye Sachin, good knock, amazing career, thanks for the memories and best of luck in the future!

Magnificient cricketer and a wonderful human being! We salute thee!
The new generation of cricketers will do well to emulate SRT's dedication to the game and his humility on and off the field.

Farewell, hermano!

I can understand that everyone wants Dhoni to declare but Sachin accept the fact that he is not bigger than the game.

That makes him even a bigger legend!!

Every sport has its icon who revolutionized the game and for cricket that's Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. #ThankYouSachin

Good bye Little Master. Really wanted his last innings to produce another 100. But 15K plus runs in test cricket. Salute.....

I love him for his humble personality. He was an admirer of Bangladesh cricket. I can remember in CTG test he went to Bangladesh dressing room and praised the whole team in our last test against India.

Watched him make a 100 (140 I think) against Australia live in the Champions Trophy in Dhaka in 1998.
