International Cricket Council (ICC) vice-president AHM Mustafa Kamal inaugurated the Bangladesh Cricket Supporters’ Society, a new community for Bangladesh cricket fans, yesterday at The Daily Star Centre. Mahbub Hamid Tara — national captain Mushfiqur Rahim’s father — and former BCB director Khondoker Jamil Uddin were also present at the ceremony.
Comprising a 21-member team, the group plans to take a leaf out of England’s Barmy Army and travel along with the national team to all their tours. Down the line they also hope to establish a cricket museum ahead of the T20 world cup in Bangladesh next year.
The association is planning to recruit members from across the country from November 20 to 30. In order to apply one can register at www.bcss-tigers.com, the official website of the group.

Wonder whether this will be a worthy initiative. I like the idea of a Barmy Army for Bangladesh.

i reckon it's a good idea but there are a lot of other things in BD cricket to focus on, like infrastructure, schedules etc.

Lol this is so pointless, we barely get any matches, let alone touring abroad. Our home games will always have fans and supporters coming out to watch anyways. Would be good for ODI's abroad I guess..

A Bangla Army is not a bad idea.
