Welcome to the official BPL T20 thread of the Chittagong team - All The Best to our pride.
My 2.2 cents for the Chittagong team @ BPL T20
1. Tamim (icon player / ctg based)
2. Md. Nazimuddin (ctg based)
3. Aftab Ahmed (ctg based)
4. Faisal Hossain Decans (ctg based)
5. Chris Gayle (o/s)
6. Dirk Nannes (o/s)
7. Mithun Ali (wk) [originally from Sylhet but I would pick him at any cost]
8. Nafees Iqbal (ctg based)
9. Shane Warne (o/s) Captain and Coach/Mentor
10. Mosharraf Hossain Rubel (originally from Dhaka)
11. Rajat Bhatia or Andrew Symonds (o/s)
All the o/s players are kind of freelancers so they should be free during the tournament
... Go the Chittagong!

@BappyHayat, nice thread!
--------------- I love all my tigers. My tigers come from all over Bangladesh and hence I support all BPL teams! I would like to see our players mingle with international players and gain some experiences from it. Hope this BPL league will benefit our cricket!
Go Chittagong Tigers!
Go Bangladesh!
May the best team win!

A mystic lavish green hilly land
With Saints, blue ocean and sand
Meets the starry sky at night
To give this dampen world a fight.
Sad and departing ships are honking
With hammers, steel workers are banging
For life, for good, for joy, for survival
To turn around the life like a swivel.
Here comes the jocund breeze from the ocean
And asks “Where are they who play so often?
With pride, glory and dejection
But roar when they are in action.”
Now it is a time for a serious cricket
They will get up from their lazy blanket
To give us the best
From the land of the best.
Chittagong and Barisal are planning to give the name of their team Chittagong soldier and Barisal Burner / Barisal Bruner/ Barisal Blitz respectivley. More details..

interstingly, I was just watching an interview at NTV by Lutfur Badol, the owner of Chittagong Cyclones.. per him, they said the cost of $21 million dollars was too much for them to bear and the ROI was simply not there in BD cricket. That's why they didnt bid this year. He fears that the people who are associated with BPL now does not have the experience with cricket and may leave if they soon find that there is actually no way they can get the $21m. in 6 years. And if BCB is not successful, BPL can also become a one year flash...He also fears that spot fixing can be an issue at this tourney...
