Stokes, Moeen and Pandya are not the best players of their respective teams, their teams will do well even without them, statistically speaking it takes immense effort to play for a not so strong team and still come out as one of the best in the business, you admit it or not BD needs Shakib way more than Eng needs stokes and India needs Pandya.

Sorry, can't do it right now as I'm not on the computer. I don't want to use my phone to do it. So small screen for all those numbers....nah thank you!

hate with all your heart your want. let me guess it should either afridi or hafeez who can only be considered Great right?

The only player in the history of Bangladesh who can be called great is Shakib. Period. The others are decent, better than average or just average.
A batting average over 40 and 188 wickets at 32 is without doubt greatness for any test cricketer.

You mean Test matches? Not many, as Zimbabwe was on exile from Test cricket for most of Shakib's career. You don't need to be a wizard to know that, anyone with common knowledge of cricket should know that.

He still boasts 40+ batting average and below 35 bowling average in Test cricket. Only three other allrounders in the history of cricket had maintained such dominance with both bat and ball (who atleast taken 100 wickets). Guess who they are?

Shakib has more talent in his fingernails than Afridi and Hafeez combined.

I know but some self hating bangladeshis would rather worship a below average pakistani discard before allowing any bangladeshi to be called great or even better than other good players.

We needed a reality check. I am not calling the test wins against England and Australia as flukes, but we still have not developed the right mentality to play test cricket. We are better than this, but our management, captaincy is limiting us to give our 100%.

Shakib has played 6 times vs Zimbabwe and his stats get better if you take Zimbabwe out of his stats

I have shown this to you and it shut you up before, before I can understand you have little knowledge of cricket, but I have provided this to you and yet you deny this FACT, you are now simply lying

Rahim already knows that this is his last test as skipper.

He should do the right thing and resign before he is chopped

We were talking about highest score in day 1. Of course, the most runs scored in a day is 588. The total of 588 is an aggregate of both the team scores (England and India) which was scored in day 2.

Somehow I was also thinking what was the most scored in a day...

It can't be his last. Yes, he sucks as a captain but we failed in both batting and bowling. Individuals should be responsible for their performances too. Management will consider this.

Or he probably doesn't have the fitness and temperament to be a test bowler.

^^ Gary Sobers, Jacque Kallis, and Tony Greig (whose career was unfortunately cut short with the rebel series).

Botham was not that great with bat.

Why is the vice captain not advising and devising strategies with the skipper (if this has happened, ignore this question, I'm not watching the game)?

Tamim is officially the vice captain, and he is out of the match. Riyad, being the senior most player after Mushfiq and being his best friend, I am guessing, took up the role?
