Default Ugliest 20/20 ever

NOT EVEN a single batsman played real cricket shot. The way they were playing looked like they never played with cricket ball. it was 100% slog.
just think about what tamim, ashrafool, zunaid, and the rest were doing? did anyone see a proper and i Mean PROPER standard cricket shot from any of them?

Sorry to say but apart from craziness there was nothing to enjoy. A plus point is that Bowlers did well thats all i can say!

demented cricket from BD players i have to say!

Those shots from Ash were just class except for 1 edge but thats 20/20.

Tamim looks like an Idiot in 20/20, but he's lucky and get runs

Juniads Soft Dismisaals have me calling for his head

Throwing Raqibul right back into Interntional Cricket w/o NCL is stupid

The lower order is Young and We have a new Inzy (Hopefully he's 1/2 the Batsmen he is) in Naeem in terms of running.

Ash played a few cricket shots. Rest, especially, Tamim played some jungle cricket. Well, they are in Africa! Quite a contrast after getting used to watching Alok, Nafees and Nazim.

I can't understand why there was so much hype around Junaed. This boy has absolutely no temperament, let alone skills.

জনাব বলতে বাধ্য হচ্ছি। ফালতু কথা। বুঝি হাত কামড়ানোর পরিস্থিতিতে এইরকম দুই একটা সুতা না খুললে দিলে শান্তি আসে না।

i think team selection was worst.

1. rokib should have been rested, according to previous announcement
2. why the hell mehrab Jr is there in the 20/20, i am sure he will be overlooked in the test match due to his failure in ODI and 20/20, doesnt make any sense
3. shahadat-----not for 20/20, not for ODI
4. junaed----he is out of form, he will be another eid type batsman for BD
5. whereis mash?

team should have been
tamim
Junaed---no choice ATM
ashraful
mashrafe
Imrul
sakib
nayeem
mushfiq
Razzaq
robin
rasel

it was an easy target, we just failed to do that. stupid team selection and players

He(Ash) played 3 SHOTS ONLY 3 that were GOOD and "CLASS" if you say! how about the one he got out?
I mean C'mon you are the captain, the new bowler came on...you play an inside out shot? and yet You've never even seen him bowled!!!
if you say ASH played well then it is even worse for him. why didn't he take the responsibility?

20-20 is for idiots. fans and players alike. sorry.

i completely missed this game, and don't regret it at all. just checked the scorecard and seems we played well enough. but who cares?

20-20 will NEVER be an accurate appraisal of cricketing skill.

CI commentary had this to say about a shot

Quote:
4.4 M Morkel to Mohammad Ashraful, FOUR, Comes down the track. Hits one of the hardest square drives I've ever seen! Hits the boundary boards with a harder sound than this evening's thunder.
that can't be a pure slog...it was square driven. but thats my point. 20-20 reduces even proper cricket shots to ugly slogs.

tamim had a shot with was described as "jayasuriya like" when he cut DW Steyn for a boundary.

these guys can all play proper shots in ODIs and Tests, and if they get all their slogging out here, i don't care.

Tamim is one of our more solid batsman in the longer versions and that is the only thing that matters.

expecting proper cricket from 20-20 is akin to expecting 5 slips and a gully also.

20-20 is garbage, and will always be garbage. if it keeps the real game alive, then sure, lets keep it. otherwise its a pitiful waste of 3 hours of time.

And you base that with a one look at him in a perverted format of cricket, God it wasnt even twenty overs, it was fourteen!

And the asking rate was nearly ten an over.

Though what the hell is he doing charging down the pitch to dale steyn 140+ deliveries

Tamim's batting was wired, that's true.

Tamim is usually a good hitter but not good for T20.
Bcsqe he is an exciting btsman sp when it comes to T20 he goes crazy.
Ash played well but the rest was faltu.
But still we didn't loose with huge margins.

I dont think that its the ugliest, Because strategy was very wrong. So it looked like what the bloddy hell was going on!!!.. I think when you are chasing a possible target ( according to bangladesh capacity) opener should be more relaxed and play their natural. I think Tamim and Junaid had not done that. But still its not the ugliest.

Not sounds like an ugly shot...

But my question is - how many times we have to say "Uff...almost close"

Ash played some awesome shots and was telling my co-worker (american, whom I teaching cricket) that if this guy stays - we will win before 14 overs. But then he played a stupid shot - first ball from botha when he saw how much turn Razzak & Sakib were getting.

Nway, other than him, nobody played any good shots - proper cricket shots. I dont know why. All was required to play proper cricketing shots.
