Sammy endorsed Farhad Reza for national call.
Reza is back.. how good is he? Does he really deserve a call?

Tried and failed. He only seems to deliver in domestics. But it could be that he changed his game and is actually a better player now.
I would certainly take him over HOM though.

No Thank`s,had enough of his full tosses, don`t need another bowler who balls atleast 1 hit me ball per over, we already have one(taskin),atleast taskin makes up for it with express pace, and wickets....Reza will be pulverized by the kalacaps

I'd give 80% credit for Reza's performance to Sammy. If he's playing for Mash he will be decent (so will be Zia). I'm all for giving him a chance. If we're doing #TBT, then Reza should be on top of that list. Not SN or Kapali or whatever.

We need a pace bowling allrounder. If he improved his game, then we should not look at his past and give him a chance. Next CT and WC will be in pace friendly condition. We need a pace bowling allrounder badly. We should also consider Zia if he improves

very good point. He should be selected and playing those practice matches in Aus and NZ and see how he does there. His batting suits longer format better, something Bangladesh never explored. his bowling suits only T20...Therefore, he never gets selected for any format!

Sure we are just online noobs who know nothing compared to Sammy but that's why we have stats. Last time when he was selected, he was lighting up the domestic scene and I recall a lot of people asked him to be selected. When he was selected for T20s however, he averaged only 5.33 with the bat in 5 matches and 43 with the ball with an econ rate of 8.6. His overall T20 career is nothing to write home about(bat: 8.0 ave, ball:43.50 ave and 10.03 econ). His ODI stats are even worse. So people have a reason to be wary.
Anyway, I am not against to picking him, I even mentioned that in my post. I think he has done more than enough this BPL to warrant a place than someone like HOM.

And you just proved my point. Not everything about stats. Ask all the people who didn't draft Brady...(And by no means I'm comparing Feza to Tom Brady!)
I agree with what roman said. Forget about his past stats. See what he can do now.

I would take Reza any day over Soumya for T20 and Test. Yea check stats now!
Need someone like Reza for home tests. We never need 2 full time seamers for most opponents. Whether its Fizz or Shohid who plays the seamer position, the second one can easily go to Reza who is good enough to bowl some tidy spells and then a very good contributor with the bat down the order. Better contributor then Hom and Soumya.
T20, well this is a tough one. Even though he did perform in the BPL, I dont see the use of him. He is good early on and during the middle overs but we have others for that. What we need is a good death over specialist which we dont have right now apart from Fizz.

Reza is a good player no doubt about that. He plays very well in our domestic leagues, BPL etc. BUT when it comes to International Cricket, he seems lacks confidence and clueless for some reason/s.
He lost us many games when we were so close to win those matches. His catching was next to Imu and RBX. He was given M A N Y chances during the FARUQ era but has failed all the times to make an impact in international cricket.
It would be very tough to be back in national team for him as I don't see who he could replaced in his position. I have no "hate" against him and I wish him good luck if he can makes it to the team.

NO! He can't.
Reza is polite and soft in nature where as Stokes is opposite, no?

And he's not a redhead also...
My point was that he can play the role of Stokes(minus the persona, attitude, and autobiography). Batting and bowling wise.

^ then I never want to hear about SN's come back ever again.
(I don't think he does either considering that he had a freakout and diarrhea after the talks)

here i notice about BC fan
who ever BCB selector pick----they praise them
if any player is out of team once--they are so much against bringing them back, doesnt matter how improved they are or how good form they are. they will bring back memory of their old stats, etc
they are so much against old player of BD but praise old players of other country and their opportunity like adam vogues, misbah, younis, gambhir, elliott, etc.
