yes..but it doesn't mean you let his senior players go jail free. That will handicap your next coach, specially if he is a disciplinarian and our players are mentally handicapped.

What Rahim did in the press, he should be fired (removed from captaincy) on the spot.

Go back to the toss decision 1st Test match. Mushi implied, it was a team decision. No? I don't think it was. Mushi tried his best to direct the blame to someone other than HIM.

No proof the other way as well at this point. Hope it comes out soon.

Based on what papon said "I sat with him and the players a number of times, asking them why they lie in the media."

If you see my comment, I did not say he is a liar, rather I said it feels like. We know that Hathura's biggest issue was Mushy, the media already covered that. Hence, when Papon said, he sat with the players, the first name that came to my mind is Mushfiqur Rahim. Now he said players, so it is definitely more than one.

We just have to wait until if Papon or Hathura decides to tell us which players.
At this moment, I can only assume, as we don't know who are the players Papon is referring to.

If Mushy lied, it worked brilliantly...got rid of the coach.

I am liking this Machiavellian mushy even more now. Messing with him could mean danger.

Didn't his fake crying get the Rajshahi BPL owner in some hot water as well. Masterful stuff so far.

Don't claim victory too early. If you are talking about last season's Barisal Bull's part owner and BCB director Abdul Awal Chowdhury (also known as Bhulu Bhai), i think Mushfiq made a big mistake. I know "Bhulu Bhai" ... he is no foreigner Huturu daa who you can be beaten once and you are done with it. Mashrafee have to deal with "Bhulu Bhai" as long mushfiq is playing cricket.

Whoever knows "Bhulu Bhai" knows that he is very close to Papon uncle. He is going no where as long as Papon is here. Don't under estimate his power. He is not a bad guy, very generous person, but you don't want to make him your enemy ....that's another stupid move by Mushfiq.

Machiavellian???

If I met Mushy in real life, I would punch him the face, we don't need his hum dum politics ruining the game for other domestic performers.

There is nothing boldly machiavellian about Mushfiq, a mouthpiece to the media and a scoundrel amongst the team. If he has a ounce of shame, he will give up captaincy and relinquish his spot in T20s.

Funny thing you said that.... that actually happened in real life few years back. I believe Mushfiq was not the captain at that time.

Mushfiq was going to his hometown from dhaka. He stopped by a restaurant in highway rest area. There was some argument with the server and he sucker punched Musfiq and broke his nose.

If you google it you may still find the n news.

Rajshahi is old news. Did you forget the recent Barisal Bulls drama?
The owner was very critical of Mushy’s leadership. What happen?

Barisal Bulls owner was forced by BCB to publicly apologise to Mushfiqur Rahim.

Hold on it’s not over. What happens next?

Barisal Bulls banned from BPL citing financial irregularities!

Mushfiqur Rahim wins.

I think you are mixing up with two owners. The majority owner of Barisal was in trouble for different issue and there are financial issue players and BCB with barisal. I think not only Barisal franchise was taken removed, the majority owner was also punished/ banned from bpl. Those are all from past and nothing to do with Rahim's issue.

Bhulu, the minorityrowner of past Barisal team, and also bcb director, made the comment about mushfiq at the end of summer. Yes bhulu had to apologize, to end the drama for now. But make no mistake, he is still the bcb director and still very close to Bcb president. Papon also has a negative image on Mushfiq. Nothing is forgotten or forgiven. When performance goes down, all those public power (of Mushfiq) vanishes... And that is the time bhulu will return the favour to mushfiq. So yes he won for now... But not for long...this time mushfiq picked up a very powerful enemy, game just started... Not over yet.

These BCB directors are historically very influential and can contribute making or breaking a player's career. That's why players routinely lobby their cases to BCB executives.... that practice is going on for decades.

First question is do you know what Machiavellian means?

Hint, does not mean a necessary relation of or to the middleage Italian philosopher. Bonus points for wikipediaing and presenting BC with a 500 page report.
