Mirror!! Mirror!! who am I?
Fun thread.
None of us played Intl cricket even though all wanted/wants to. So name a player who would have mirrored you in the cricketing field. Attitide, playing style etc. We should stick with Deshi players but if one wants to bring in foreign players so be it.
For me, it had to be Atahar Ali (the cricketer and NOT THE COMMENTATOR). And for International player although I liked Viv but I don't think I match with him. He is just too good. More like Steve Waugh or Imran - Strategist.
This is not hero worshiping. Only charecter matching. Don't be serious!!

Mirror Mirror, please change Mijan bhai from Atahar Ali to someone more worthy of it.

Batting : Viv, Lara ( yeah..I am that good )
Bowling : Garner, Lille, Flintoff, Hadlee
Captaincy : Fleming ( limited resources mind you )
Deshi : Golla. Why? for his tremendous luck. He is the only player known to me who not only didn't know where his off stumps were, but also was unaware of his leg stump. He got caught behind on both sides of the wkt consistently, lol. Now, that is some luck as he managed to play year after year. So, he is my hero, not for his cricketing abilities, but for his penchant to survive, something I can relate to.

Batsman: Afridi (+ Golla): meaning either block or six... nothing in between. But now a days I take more singles then anything but get opportunity to play very little.
Bowler: NA (some times i bowl when in the para match they have rule that every one have to bowl which would be like slow slow slow medium...
Fielder: Use to be jonty rodes... Took five catches in my last serious match from slip back home... Use to save tons of runs. once got MOM just for my fielding... Best effort was to dive and save a sure 4 in the bounder after covering from fine leg to almost square leg and got up and threw the ball in one motion to run out the other teams best batsman who was standing and couldn't believe the save i made... lol. But now i am Inzi... lol

I am more like Gibbs. Usually an average batsman but once in I play an extra-ordinary knock. And I am Dilhara Fernando. Have pace but line isn't always that good.

Both of us will be so happy when he becomes an ODI star.
You would have to find another cricketer then, lol.

I think sometimes I am Belal and sometimes I am Jalal.
Make the wrong prediction and friends follows me, .....
and when I say the right but unpleasant thing they get mad and try to slap me.

Batting : Most Indian Batsmen . I bat better than Don Bradman when at home . Home for me here is cement pitches and my living room (yes I play in my LR), flop in Turf though.
Bowling : Mortaza ( I started bowling slow crap off-cutters after getting hooked up with someone.)
Feilding : Danish Kaneria ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFnnK4BIsBE)
