Default Do You Think Society Should Keep The Death Penalty.

In several nations, the death penalty is prevalent, from Indonesia to Bangladesh. However societies that deem themselves as civilized don`t have a death penalty.

So I ask you guys this, do you guys think death penalties should exist in a common legal timeframe, or is it too barbaric and out of context for today's era.

My View.

Death penalties, should definitely there are some crimes that cannot be punished with lengthy sentences and some people that are too unsafe to be let out back into societies.
IMO, whilst death penalties may not be the preferred option to deal with crimes, it should be used as a last resort. People that kill children under the age of 16, definitely deserve a death sentence, there is no way that we can justify killing of children these days.

2. People or Peoples who have used WMDs, against others, illegally or without jurisdiction
3.People who have killed many people without any remorse or guilt
4. People who have committed crimes against humanity, chemical attacks, gas attacks, terrorist attacks
5. Crimes against children- Don`t want to explain this further

So what are your thoughts
Follow your deepest dream, the one you had as a kid... but stay focused.

I bank on the idea only God decides.
Who can choose to put someone to death.
By doing so you are choosing 2 act as God.

That said I have thought deep and long and hard on this subject.
At 1 time I thought Martin Bryant that did the shootings at Port Arthur be put to death,he killed over 40 ppl including children.

By living out their life their is a chance at remorse or repentance of the act they did.
Also their is a case where the victim can confront the perpetrator for their crime, that is a technqiue that is used in Australia.
Paeophiles,Rapists even murderers could be fronted by their sins and their accusers whilst under the supervision of the guards.
Even someone like Martin bryant.

For crimes against humanity, they should be given a sterner sentence than letting off the hook with measly death sentence.

But given American prison system with many African-American, Latinos and other men of color on death row (some who does get acquitted from DNA), it questions the sentence.

Then again there are tales of Amish forgiveness and Tsarnev's parents preaching against capital punishment.

But compassion has its limits. Or maybe I am just getting too old and cranky.

Damn, I need my weed.
