Poor baby!
Guardians, left, of kids sitting the admission test to Class I at Viqarunnisa Noon School in the capital yesterday wait anxiously in an enclosure on the campus, while a child breaks into sobs in an examination room unable to cope up with the stress. PHOTO: STAR

Reminds me of mini me. I was subjected to that when I was in third grade. It was total scariness. Especially the admission test at Ideal School. I came out second out of a few thousand I think. But the grassless, morubhumi-marka inside playground, murgir khupri-marka classroom and moulovir beter bari was disillusioning enough.

This is barbaric to test a kid like that. This test does not make any sense because it can not test true potential of a person. Even I have couple of first, first position in my academic life, but I am complete disagree testing kids like this way.
We should change our conventional education system. It's proved that highest GPA students are not equally highest intelligent person.

what can you do when demand is high and supply is low. Its not a question of cruelty or anything. Why do the parents make them take the test then? Its also not a question of choice!

well, i've always believed that the expectations of bangali parents on their kids is too high, which results in so many failures (in various aspects of life). i mean - bangali parents should chill and take a break for a change...take it easy ppl! no matter how freakin' hard u try, ur kid will never become a bill gates!

Did anyone see a parallel between the picture and Bangladesh cricket.
taking/playing a 'Test' and so many well-wishing spectators waiting...

u know what makes it even worse? no matter how hard these kids try, many of them won't get admission regardless of their test score, because some rich parents have already bribed the proncipal and secured a spot for their children.
