HAHAHAHA that last bit cracked me up. All those names ending with "ul" are islamic. Its pretty much got to do with religion. Nothing more. And you're right - those names aren't what they're usually called outside of the cricketing world.

LOL no worries buddy. I guess it's a trait we carry along with a few Pakistani players as well. But our players have nicknames. Habibul's is Sumon, Shakibul is Shakib, Hasibul, one you happened to have missed, is Shanto. Ashraful is apparently called "Matin".

if we cut "UL" out from names, i dunno about others. but few players name would be really funny like
"Ashraful - ul = Ashra"
"Ariful - ul = Ari"
"Manjarul - ul = Manjar"
"Raisul - ul = Rais"
"Bulbul -ul = Bulb">>>Classic One. Hahahahaha, Can't Help But Laugh.

Bro after watching those last names i am kinda surprised that you guys have so many different last for one family. Like Hussain, Rahman, Chowdhury, Khan, Akhter, Ahmed, Haque, Nahar and Yasmin & Tajin are not any title of last name(i mean Bongsho) and i guess, Kabir & Anwar picked up from husband or father's name. There are at least 8 titles and All most all the "bongsho" in bangladesh. ROHOSSOMOY!!!
