Default Should we Finally get rid of the Dead weights?

With most of the new guns doing well, Should we finally get rid of the dead weights?(JS,Nazza!,SIR,Kaedge,The Rock,Sarukh)

Or let their good performances in domestic league fool us in taking them again in the national team?

We already did. Didn't we?

Naeem will be gone, when Sakib comes back.

I hope Naeem stays. He has lot to offer. He should not be categorised in the same group with Nazimuddin or Junaed.

Yes, and I don't think you can get rid of Shahadat - what's your alternative?

We're talking of tests right? You might as well get Ratul/Mominul in then, he'd be awful in non-conductive pitches. Shahadat bowled OK in the 1st Test. The only ones I can think of is Shafiul and Alauddin Babu.

Sorry bro but Shahadat needs to go. After all these Tests and he's still averaging a 50 with the ball? In 2011 he averaged 200+. How much more time he needs? I'd much rather have Abul in. And then later on bring in Taskin and Kamrul Rabbi. These guys might struggle initially, but I'm sure you give these guys as much chances Shahadat has gotten and they'll have better averages. I'll admit I had hope for Shahadat 1 time but his attitude is a big no no for this team.

Those who are meant to stay, will stay.
With this bunch of 3rd Generation batch graduating, there are going to be loads of competition and it will indeed be survival of the fittest.

absolutely .....

the 3rd generation have far better understanding of cricket and it will be tough for the previous generation to survive. game on for the deadwoods. previously they were getting lots of chance because it was the rotation of deadwoods again and again. now, the chance for deadwoods are going to be very low.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

absolutely spot on !
I guess the battle has started already: Anamul century, Gazi taking wickets, Mominul showing promising signs, so good for our cricket.

Get rid of Shakib. He is not number 1 anymore. He is a Shamim 2.0. Even Kanta can't save us from him.

I didn't want him in the ODI from the start. I mentioned it during pre-series. But we don't have any other better option.

I'd take Naeem @ 3 / Ash, JS, SN, Naz, Rock.

I didn't want him in the ODIs but he is the only one we have, and I was not impressed with his 50 anyways. He should be replaced by Shakib once he is fit.

Come'on NW. Can we for one day not let pessimism get better of ourselves? We won!!! What else you want? Why worry about 'deadweights' and all? Had we lost today, I bet a thread would pop up by someone that is it too early for the debutants?

I hate to use the word "deadweight" today. Without Aftab and Ash there could be no Cardiff. Nafees helped us win many Zimbabwe matches. So yes it would be tight competition but I wouldn't go as far as to label them "Deadweights" or say, "untouchables"
