Default Please help

Ok... this is getting very frustrating. I downloaded a cracked version of EA Sports Cricket 2004 using Bit Torrent. It seems to me that it is originally a playstation game, and perhaps the crackers have modified it for PC use. I had no problem whatsoever installing and running it though. The only problem I'm having is with gameplay. The controls of this game are almost the same as Cricket 2002 which I kind of mastered couple of years ago. However, I can't seem to play any shot as a batsman, except for defensive (forward/backward) shot. I tried remapping the controls. I even tried just about any combination of keys. It just doesn't seem to allow me to play any stroke. Therefore, even after bowling my opponents out for less than 70/80 in an ODI on hard level, I can't even score more than 7/8 odd runs in reply (thanks to extras). I know that strokeplay is disabled on easy level. But I tried all levels. It just doesn't seem to work. It won't let me play any shots even during net practice. Does anyone have a clue what I might be doing wrong? Anyone else had similar problems? Any help will be appreciated.

PS: No need to bash me for using cracked/pirated software.

Ahh that is a very basic problem. Thankfully I know the cure to "noball" problem. When the bowler runs into bowl, there is a bowling meter.. you HAVE TO stop it before it goes red... the higher the meter, the faster your delivery will be. Just stop it before it hits the red mark. It will be a legal delivery. Most people had that problem with Cricket 2002 too.

Can you tell me which keys you are using for batting? And where did you get that software from? I'm guessing it is the same one as I'm using.

Yes I autoplay during my batting. But it's becoming boring now. I'm fed up with not being able to bat

That is exactly the same set of keys I use. Yet I can't play any shot other than frontfoot/backfoot defensive block. Ughh.. anyone else have any idea?

You have to do timing on the game while you are batting. Without timing, you will not able to score in this game.

Ok i'm pretty sure i can help considering that i've had both those problems

When starting off batting ignore the six hit button and remember...hold down the direction for a bit then press front foot or back foot when you want to play the shot. When i started i tried pressing them all together at the same time and it just defended

With the bowling..press one button once and firmly. Press it once to start and again ONCE firmly to stop it
