Fake. Although I'm afraid Abul might get picked for his 100 I hope Shane's cleaver enough to see through that.

This is all fake. These FB pages love to get attention, so they are always trying to start things. Nayeem scored a century in the last test he played, how would he not make the test squad? That makes no sense.

I've edited the thread title. Let this be a warning - don't just put unverified crap here as soon as you see it just so you can pay yourself on the back. It's not going to make you any popular. A members popularity is based on the quality of his/her posts and not in being the one with the first thread or the one with most threads.

I think we should have a rule.

Akram has said to DS that there won't be any major changes. So Bijoy in, and perhaps Marshal. They should really take Taskin just to play him in the tour match.

no major changes sounds good to me. i would expect junaid, SN and maybe shahadat to be the dropped ones. shamsur should be a new top order inclusion, maybe marshall will be in there. although SN may still make the cut based off some good BPL performances.

16 feb,Talking to reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Akram said: “We are thinking of giving a new spinner a chance during the visit.”
Bangladesh will play two Tests, three ODIs and one Twenty20 International. The first Test is on March 8 in Galle.
“Either Enamul Haque Jr, Mosharraf Hossain Rubel, Saqlain Sajib or Nazmul Hossain can get the chance. All four left-arm spinners havedone well during the current BPL, said the Chief Selector.”
Regarding Shakib Al Hasan’s injury, the former Bangladesh captain said there is nothing to be worried about the champion all-rounder. He performed well during the lasttwo BPL matches.
Akram said Shakib is scheduled to fly to Australia for an assessment.
“I hope there will be no problem for him to play Test matches.”

I guess that's another lesson - top fela (setting the bait).

And it was swallowed hook, line and sinker.

wonder why they want to try a new spinner...shakib, gazi and sunny are all doing fine, i understand chopping and changing a bit when the line-up isn't really set and the players aren't performing to deserve their position, but when the players are doing a fine job it doesn't exactly fill them with confidence being dropped for no reason.

yes but at the same time they should reward Enamul Haque jnr's performances. Excluding BCL he was in a wicket taking frenzy in all those tours to India, NCL and now BPL. He will probably be there to get a taste of international cricket.

sometimes players just need to wait their turn though, sometimes you have to wait for a player to slump. i understand players that perform well deserve the reward of selection, but in saying that when someone in the team is performing they shouldn't be dropped. what should happen is the selectors let those performing players know that they're on top of the list and next in line for when someone slumps. i guess with pace bowlers there can be an exception with a rotation policy but that's not needed for spinners.

As useless as our pacers are, maybe we are planning on unleashing an old school Asian bowling attack packed with spinners? I wouldn't mind that. Just have the one pacer to take the shine off.

that would be an interesting move. the only thing is they said all the ones they're looking at are left orthodox and we already have sunny and shakib bowling that. to play 3 specialist left arm orthodox isn't giving too much variation.
