May be in the future, but not now.....

Now, Big Daddy will be promoted. That will stop Chacha's hope for another adventure and it will also open up bowling coach slot....ek dhil-e dui pakhi.

I wish the whole of BCB gets fired. Every last incompetent Leaguer dimwit starting from the selectors, to directors, to the president.

Privatize BCB. Let a corporation like Grameen Phone BD run it. And see Bd improve leaps and bounds in a very short amount of time!

What you need is a contemporary coach. The BD Fielding is on par with Pakistan's and that's saying something.

The pace stocks which looked phenomenal and evoked jealousy have disappeared. The batting is fine but there is a sense of these batsman not fulfilling their huge potential which has been the case for a few years.

A contemporary coach will instill the values of Fielding and maximizes the resourcefulness of each player. To get one, you need to pay more.

Gary Kirsten has personal commitments , that's why he refused extension as Indian coach, not because he was fired. He will remain in SA.

That's a shame. At this rate, we will never find a coach.

We need to look at assistant coaches or coaches from County. I would also like BCB to hire a swing bowler as bowling coach. Someone like Damien Fleming or Vaas

we need to forget about big names. I like the Idea of assistant coaches from county cricket. may be we can find a gem there who would want to take a challenge and make a name for himself.

Nana Bhai is still available. isn't he?

NanaBhai (head coach), ChaCha (manager) and Papon (BCB President cum Head master with a ruler) and aubhimani Rahim (back as a captain) will be a fun combo...even they lose, they will still keep us entertained.

New coach will be announced by April first week, says Papon. Also takes shot at ex coach HammerLion.

"At the moment I am not going to disclose the name but I can say that he is a well known figure, not someone unknown like Chandika Hathurusingha,”

nanabhai will be a better coach than walsh. walsh can be a great mentor for teams like NZ,SA. not the guy for our guys who need to be spoon fed

it should be me. i will do a slightly better job than Sujon (i.e. I wont do the nagin with the boys). I will let Papon take all credit after a win. And BCB won't have to pay me 300,000 like they did to Hatura -- only $250,000 will do.

Halsall might have been approached by Farbrace to get some tips for inside environment.

Nana bhai has other problems. He is a great politician. Though he is probably a good skill coach, his presence can ruin the environment.

Had Soumya bowled a bouncer or one on the stumps and won the game for BD, would we need this thread anymore?

I bet Papon would have given Walsh the job.

I wonder, our good performance in SL versus our horrible showing at home. Did Walsh have sth to do with it?

If we do have a Head coach, I wonder will that mean Walsh leaving for good or will he get his old 9 to 5 job back in the team?

Saurav Ganguly would be a great choice, Bangla his mothertongue, so no communication gap. Also he was a terrific captain for India.

No offense to Saurav fans. He was great as a player, but he will be a misfit as a head coach in our team.

He will be good with handling the media. But...

Does he have any baby sitting experience?
Does he have CPR license?
Is he a patient guy? Usually great players a not very patient as a coach.
How he will handle when players fail to listen to his advice or continue to make same mistakes?
Will he play caring grandma role with napkins when our players will cry?
Does he have strong ego that will potentially conflict with our char(4) mastan?
Will he try to take control of the team bypassing the captain (for valid reason or not)?

Ganguli is a big no no! To hell with whatever his mothertongue is, this guy absolutely hates us and our guts and has made fun of our players many many times! Even as recently as the Champions Trophy semi-final against India when in one of their channels he was was mocking our batting efforts at the half way stage. He hates our guts. He can shove his coaching skills to where the sun don't shine.

I am on the bigger point that a good player need not necessarily be a good coach.John Wright and Kirsten were not flamboyant players but they delivered results.Whereas Greg Chappell, the great batsman was a disaster as a coach and backstabbed the very person who recommended him, Ganguly.

Generally, Indian players are not in favour of Indian coaches as they may indulge in favouritism.Ravi Shastri is an exception.

If A former Bangladeshi player who had a decent record is appointed as the coach how will the current team take it ?

Tell me one former Indian cricketer who praises BAN cricketers when it's due or talks in favor of us when it's unjust.
