rhodes is a good coach. he has been coach for worcs since 2005 upto 2017 november.

I first saw his work in 2010 when shakib was playing for worcs. under rhoades worcs got promoted to first division in 2010 with a weak team and stayed in first division in 2011 with that weak team. moeen ali was product of his coaching.

he was suppose to take coaching for english lions in 2018 but a rape aligations for one of the worc players came up which rhodes supposedly knew and failed to or did not notify worc management. As a result he was suspended and lost the England lion coach.

what I read about him in 2010 his coaching style is giving freedom to the players in their playing style

might not be good for our players

What you said if that's true then why selecting another bowling coach as a head coach ? Wasn't Walsh enough ? Or BCB is thinking to appoint a separate batting coach ?

Thank you Ian Pont for first pursuing Rhodes to hire Shakib to play for Worcs and now sending him directly to become Bangladesh's head coach (since you are not interested). Can we please cancel Greenidge's passport and give it to Pont.

This is the type of coach we need actually. Not too high profile but has good work ethics and aspiration to achieve something bigger. I just hope BCB gives the head coach proper support this time (not Hathu style) and the players respect him.

I hope I am wrong, doesnt give me a good feeling... The feeling is more like .... Nai mamar cheye kana mama Bhalo.

Yes I googled about him. A coach who was diciplined is going to run a team of players who are not well known for dicipline, will be monitored by BCB executives.... Doesn't look like a good combination.

Well ...I will give him a clean slate and let's hope for the best.

Now our players can rape freely without the fear of the head coach snitching on them. Oops sorry, that joke was too morbid.

It was a while before finally getting a coach ( not 100% sure yet).

BCB approached almost everyone available. The money offered most likely not bad at all. But still nobody accepted the offer (until now). Some high profile candidates were interested at first but backed off later.

In the mean time less high profile job were filled with less afford (Afganistan, Zim, Pakistan, etc).

Why was that?

Is it because of
(a) BCB was less professional?
(b) We offered less money (highly unlikely)
(c) The way players revolted against the coach (for valid or non-valid reason) made this job less desirable
(d)The quality of core players which the coach have to work with has little room for improvement plus lack of new quality players in the pipeline

Is it one of them, all of them, some of them or none of them the reason?
