Default What should be our strategy if we win toss

Our captain Bashar has got a lady luck with coins, so we can expect that he might win the toss again.

According to my opinion if we win the toss we should field first to tale full oprtunity of the supersub (probably Rajin) and as I am learning from yahoo weather there is rain in Wednesday and Thursday at Bogra. Bangladesh can take the advantage of the situation.

Again our tigers have shown that they can chase well in winning games (recent Australia and Srilanka win). We have got depth in batting with some good striker of cricket ball.

What do you feel?

Bat first and put up a good total. We don't have to be so defensive against Kenya. Lets go out there and score a big total. Kenya will definately be under pressure.

Bowl first as we have Rasel who can will sming the ball early on as we have seen previousely. With mash and rasel they can really restrict Kenya to low score. The rest is history

Since the game is going to start at 9.30 morning, (and also there were some rain) there is always a probability of moisture in the pitch. We should not allow KEN to use it. Moreover, we don't want to start the day with losing 2/3 (or even 4) wickets for nothing. Yes, we should not be so defensive against Kenya but we should not also take risk in the very first game.

So, I would say, go for bowling if we won the toss and bundle out oppossition as early as possible (I would say, below 200) and than chase it. Yes, we are weak in our batting but should not worry much against an attack of Ken. Also as stated by Miraz, we definitely learn lately how to chase a total.

chasing against srilanka and chasing against kenya is two different things.... here against kenya will involve lots of pressure.... when we chase against srilanka, we hope to pull it off.... against kenya, we know we have to chase it and its a lot of pressure.... I don't wanna take that chance with bangladesh

ummmmmmmm!!!!! sounds good.

But again we cannot take the risk to loose some arly wickets at the very begning of the series. That will put immense pressure on Bangladesh throughout the whole series.

I think BD should bowl first and restrict them, if Bashar wins the toss. B/c if they restrict us to a mere 150, then we'll be under a lot of pressure and eventually will loose the match. I think this is a very good idea, b/c moisture can allow the new ball to swing, and we're not good against swing bowling.

doesn't matter whether you bat first or bowl, you can't win a game with 150 score.... if we are making a spin friendly pitch, the pitch will obviously get slower as the match progresses..... also our spinners are gonna get some turn later on.... so I don't see why Bashar would bowl first... it would be a really negative idea

Given the law of average, Bashar will NOT win the toss. he won 5 tosses at a row against SL. now, its pay back time.

Bat first, 250 should be the minimum target.

Who is the super sub? that should be the 1st strategy to be applied. 2nd would be the condition. I suppose when they thought about the supersub they thought about the pitch and condition.
