Default Bangladesh's best victory?

There are two victories that stand out for me, the one against Australia and the one against India in WC '07. I feel today's win against England is better than those two victories.

What made those victories special:

Cardiff, vs Australia: It was against Australia, the Number 1 team, and Bangladesh were still perceived as minnows then.

Port of Spain, vs India. It was the world cup. Comments by Indian players assuming they would reach the second round by pushing over Bangladesh.Being the main reason for ending India's WC hopes.

But today's victory happened after the nation was demoralized. They needed to win back the faith and start believing in the team. Also, they were out of the match after 8 wickets. To win from that situation where even many Bangladeshi fans had given up hopes, to win after the darkest days in Bangladesh's cricket, in my opinion, makes it the best victory so far.

Yes, I agree with you. Given the context, it is the best.

Certainly not the best victory but it could yet prove to be the most meaningfull one. It was certainly the worse for my physical and emotional health. My heart was pumping at a very high rate. The matter was made worse as the Willow started buffering after Shafiul's maximum. I had to start Yoga to calm myself down.

There were some horrible moments. For example, when Sakib went for a sweep to a ball that was begging to be cover driven. Then there was the brain freeze prompting Kayes to attemp the impossible second. Mushy looked like a deer caught in the headlight. In the end Shafiul made it all worthwhile. I took a chance in not watching England batting. Instead, slept for a few more hours. So, I still have to watch England's innings on the replay. Then again may be not. Who cares? Just beat SA and we will be through. England will not beat WI. You heard it here first.

This is probably the most meaningful win we ever had, under the circumstances.
Both the team and the fans needed this badly and the boys could not deliver in a better time

It was a crucial victory but I won't call it the best in any way.

After restricting Eng to 225 It wasn't a match to lose, but we made it difficult for ourselves due to poor performance of the middle order once again. This middle order collapse has become so obvious, I dont knwo when it will be fixed.

If we won, it was due to that miraculous innings of Shafiul and support from Riyad. I say miraculous because I need to see if Shafiul really can repeat these kind of innings with bat in the coming matches.

Yes, it was a tight one but definitely not the best looking victories.
