no landon donovan in wc...wtf man.... ifeel a little empty and old..... he looked a bit old and not as fast in the last match i saw against mexico for the qualifier but he still looked better than some of the others.....
hoepfully us is able to pull of atleast 1 game.... tough

^ Donovan wasn't going to start anyway. But he would have been the guy who comes off the bench later in the 2nd half to provide that extra spark, that's where this U.S. team will miss him. Klinsman is clearly building for the future, specially now that he got that 4 year contract extension. This might turn out to be a good move in the long run, but we'll have to wait and see. I don't think we are as bad as a lot of people are making us out to be. We have zero chance against Germany, but the other 2 games anything can happen

David Villa and Lampard are both NYCFC bound. Villa is still 32, so he's still got some time to play. That's a pretty good move for NYCFC, but Lampard coming over just proves once again MLS is still a retirement league.

Apparently before the MLS season start both Villa and Lampard will be loaned to Melbourne City for a couple of games purely for match fitness.

^ They have to. MLS season doesn't start until March/April of 2015. If they don't go play somewhere else before the season they will be rusty.
