Default Anamul's 120 vs the WI nominated for Cricinfo's best ODI inning award

Quote:
Anamul Haque
120 v West Indies

second ODI, Khulna
Bangladesh thrashed West Indies in the second ODI, and they owed their early dominance in this match largely to Anamul, who became the third teenager from the country to score an ODI century. He slowed as he got near his hundred, taking 23 balls in the 90s, but played on till the 49th over to set a competitive target of 293 for West Indies, which they ended up falling short of by 160 runs.
http://www.espncricinfo.com/awards20...ry/599153.html

Clearly, I'm only reading this because a Bangladeshi has been featured. Otherwise, I couldn't give an indurer poshchad about Cricinfo awards.

Kintu Anamul tui 90 er ghore giye 23 ball khelli ken? LOL, kichu #FAIL howe gelo shesher dike. Not that anyone cares.

Great news. I would say getting into Cricinfo awards would be the hardest achievement for
a BD player as the panel constantly full of biased BCCI stooges.

TBF, some of the other innings listed should rate much higher on the greatness scale.

No thread for Gazi's inclusion in the ODI shortlist? Come on!

Have a look, http://www.espncricinfo.com/awards20...ry/599154.html

Maybe if we played more test matches this year then we would be in the running for more awards...

Kohli's knock was probably better. Although that was a much higher scoring game where the average score was 330 as opposed to the 210 in Anam's match!

making a ton in your 2nd ODI is an impressive feat, the way he structured his innings was also impressive. would be good if he won, give BD cricket more exposure and support.

Kinda weird how Mohammad Hafeez's 55 in at T20 match against India makes the shortlist of 'best T20 batting performance' when Shakib's 84 (54) against Pakistan didnt make the cut

True I mean come on, 84(54) against Ajmal and co has to be up there. (Followed it up with a decent bowling spell too, not that it's relevant)

Shakib's 84 definitely should have been considered as he had to bat against the most dangerous
bowlers in T20 packed in greens.
