Default BPL- Worst franchise based cricket tournament in the world?

Do we need any further evidence?

1) Low scoring affairs
2) Poor running between the wickets
3) Poor crowd
4) Low quality international players
5) Poorly managed league. Fixing, Semi-finalist selection dilemma
6) Payment dilemma
7) No home and away system, played in the same 2 places over and over again
8) Handful of international quality coaches
9) Poor coverage
10) Poor hostess

Can barely find any positives. Atleast BPL 3 had good crowds. All matches were sold out

Oh and the speedguns don't even work properly! It shows that Tymal Mills, Taskin, Junaid, Rubel are bowling 120

And there is not technology to even measure the distance of the six.

Yh this tournament has been bad and I mean really bad

So poorly organized
Terrible broadcaster
Poor crowds
The teams are so bad

Only 2 world class teams.. In Dhaka and chittagong

comilla and Rangpur are Ok

Nah.

BPL is the 6th ranked franchise based cricket tournament after IPL, BBL, CPL, PSL and RamSlam.

Atleast we have a franchise based T20 league unlike England, Nz, Srilanka and Zimbabwe.

which basically proves my point, worst T20 league in the world

Our talent in domestics is pathetic. Apparently Abdul Mazid is labelled as a "talent" Yes today he showed immense talent in getting run out.

That runout was wrong in so many ways:

-casual walkiing
-didn't even stretch his bat when he saw ball was going to hit the stumps
-was running in a crooked path

While Inzamam was poor RBW, he didn't make these kind of mistakes, atleast not all in the same run out!

Maybe, but we have a headstart over Srilanka, NZ and Zimbabwe.

Coverage will be better next year as they are going to have GTV on board. Poor crowd will improve when we take BPL to cities like Chittagong, Sylhet & Khulna.

When will BPL have better coverage, hosts and be played in more stadiums?

BPL started 4.5 years back. And we are still back where we started:
-poor coverage
-same 2 stadiums
-lack of high profile players(BPL-1 had much better foreign contingency)

I know BCB says about logistics and security issues but i am fed up with this two stadium matches years after years. We need to use Sylhet, Khulna, Fatullah more often and finish the construction of Coxs Bazar stadium to host more BPL and international matches.

Fatullah would have been a great option. That way Mirpur wicket could have been given a bit of rest

Why don't we make it a constructive criticism by spelling out some "reasonable" ideas. Any takers ?

Besides IPL and Big Bash, they are all crap.

So yeah, we have a lot to do to catch up to those two. Using the other stadiums will automatically brighten everything. Watching Shere Bangla Cricket Stadium enough times will drive any sane person insane.

So, what's the conclusion guys? Were Hathuru and the selectors right in selecting the squad before the BPL even began?

Deciding a team 50 days before the actual match. And wait, the LOI matches which are after 2.5 months too also have their teams decided

No ! Suvagata Hom continues to prove us right that he can neither bat nor bowl .

Shafiul did not get to bowl. That's how useful his franchise thinks he is!

Not an expert but I will give it a go:

-Arrange some matches in Fatullah and Khulna stadium
-Get a better hostess
-Assign a minimum and maximum spending cap so that the teams are of equivalent strength
-No oppurtunity to pick foreign players before the draft
-Screw Channel 9.

I think Adding one more venue will be a step in the right direction. one thing at a time.
