BanglaCricket Bangladesh Teams of the Decade
Let's select BanglaCricket Bangladesh Team of the Decade for both Tests and ODIs. The cut-off number is minimum 5 Tests and 20 ODIs.
Every member should post their Test XI and ODI XI and the team will be selected on the basis of highest number of votes.
You can post your team until 4 January 2010. The team will be declared on 5 January 2010.
Now, to make it easy I am mentioning the names of the players who do not qualify for selection as they haven't played for most part of the decade.

Mahbubul Alam
Imrul Kayes
Raqibul Hasan
Rubel Hossain

Test Team of the Decade
1) Tamim Iqbal - flashes of brilliance here and there, but undoubtedly one of the biggest talents to come out of BD.
2) Shahriar Nafees - maintains one of the highest averages for BD, and never really "lost it" in the 5-day format
3) Habibul Bashar - asides from Shakib the most unanimous selection
4) Mushfiqur Rahim - has averaged 37 the last 15 or so months, probably our single best batsman all things considered
5) Mohammad Ashraful - 5 centuries and a pitiful average, when he's on, he's transcendent, but when he's not he makes Chris Martin look like a genius.
6) Shakib al Hasan - one of the world's best all-rounders
7) Khaled Mashud (WK) - the standard by which other BD stumpers will be measured for a while to come.
8) Mohammad Rafique - his 40 bowling average is a disservice to his methodical bowling abilities.
9) Mashrafe Mortaza - solid with the new ball, blah with old
10) Shahadat Hossain - the next best pacer, was great till Ramanyake broke what was fixed.
11) Enamul Haque Jr - has plenty of time to make his mark still.
ODI Team of the Decade
1) Tamim Iqbal
2) Aftab Ahmed - never tried as an opener but a good one-day player
3) Raqibul Hasan - can't say no that average
4) Mohammad Ashraful
5) Sakib al Hasan
6) Alok Kapali
7) Mushfiqur Rahim
8) Mohammad Rafique
9) Mashrafee Mortaza
10) Abdur Razzak
11) Syed Rasel

I do my math a little different. Nafis-Golla got us something that all batsmen would envy. They preserved our first test series victory with 5+ sessions left in the second innings. Losing cause great innings is just great innings.

Didn't realize it was that early. In that case he is disqualified. I will have Shahriar Nafees in his place then.

Additionally, let me also select my T20 squad
T20:
1. Tamim Iqbal Khan
2. Shariar Nafees
3. Aftab Ahmed
4. Md. Ashraful
5. Sakib-Al-Hasan
6. Alok Kapali
7. Naeem Islam
8. Md. Rafiq
9. Mashrafe Mortaza (c)
10. Mushfiqur Rahim (wk)
11. Nazmul Hossain
There is a problem. none of the teams contains more than two good medium fast bowler. The bowling attack can be a little bit vulnerable in NZ/Aus/Eng. The odi team in england however is an exaception having shujon in the rank. On the whole I was having much troubles even selecting only one partner for MAs, let alone two or three. Good thing is that our SLA's can adopt to any pitch. sakib and rafique can take wickets even on the greenest pitches since then the ball would skid a bit more to assist them in the arm ball.

20 you mean. If 10, then they were in their nappies when the earlier ones played. Perhaps the qualification would be to have *actually* seen them play?
