Richard McInnes might take the role of academy coach

Wow, extremely good news. He was the first official who started to communicate with us in BC. I miss those days.

WOW. That's awesome. This guy is the ideal guy for our budding cricketers. His style of coaching is little hard but he knows how to get the job done. Still remember how the players used to complain about his ice bath therapy. We got players Like Shakib,Mushy because of him.
I hope Mccines comes back to Bangladesh. We need him badly

The news is so good I had to read twice! Usually BCB won't bring in someone unless appointment is 90 percent certain...

Another good news. I love this guy. He has tremendous contribution to our youth cricket, knows our culture a bit, and highly regarded by Shakib & co.
With both Richards, big bucks from sponsors, and BPL, things will only get better.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) all but confirmed Australian Richard McInnes as head coach of the National Cricket Academy.
The former Bangladesh Under-19 and High Performance Unit coach in 2003-04, McInnes was supposed to arrive in the capital late last night to see the infrastructure and facilities on offer.
“Everything is confirmed and both parties agreed in principle to sign the deal. He is scheduled to come to Dhaka tonight to see all the facilities because he has had a stint in Bangladesh cricket long ago. Hopefully he will join the academy within next two three weeks after this visit,” informed BCB director Gazi Ashraf Hossain, who is also in charge of looking after the academy.
Richard McInnes, who coached the Bangladesh Under-19 team to a plate title in the Under-19 World Cup in 2004 beating Australia, played a big role in the formation of today's star cricketers like Shakib Al Hasan and captain Mushfiqur Rahim.
The post of the academy's head coach was vacated after another Australian, Ross Turner, had resigned on health grounds in October last year after taking over the job in April.

Must give credit to BCB for their choice of coaches really, they always somehow manage to pick some gems out of nowhere. Even our last Academy head coach Ross Turner was also an excellent and highly rated coach but unfortunately had to quit due to health issues. I hope with the appointment of McInnes our youth cricket will reach even bigger heights.
