This chick's won my heart. At least she smiles when we've won and says things the resonates with BD fans.

But in all honesty I'd like to watch Mandira's show from after BD vs SA. I want to watch Ian Chappel, Greig et al's reactions. Any links?

Navojat Siddhu, he commented during the WCC'99 that BD should not be given ODI or Test Status, ICC should set some rules that Associates must defeat Test Status players some 20-30 times in order to get status.

I find it amusing how Ashraful talks in numbers. At the post-match presentation (not shown here), he said that the aim was for any one of the top six batsmen to stay at the wicket till the end of the 46th over. 46? where does he get such a weird figure? lol. also "you score 30, i score 30, we win match".

direct translation.

Its not that strange really. Sometimes coaching staff will quantify objectives for individual players. He was probably told to stick around at least untill the 46th over then slog. Set a target a goal if you will. Why 46th over you may ask. Well if you've survived 45th whcih would mean 30 deliveries left anf if you have say 4 wickets, you can realistically expect to score 12/14 runs an over.

"you score 30, i score 30, we win match"-this wasn't strange at all. That exactly was the need of the moment.

Thanks for the weblink, I enjoyed every minute of it. For me not able to watch the match live, these are nice overview. Great to see BD compelled the people to talk positive about BD cricket.

My biggest regret in this WC is that BD played the match against England in an amateur attitude (throwing the wicket out!) while some amateur quality players of England won the game for them with professional attitude!

Please give the england bowlers some credit. bd batsmen r not yet hayden, pointing. I didn't saw anyone throwing there wicket other than bashar, this comment is made by our fans left and right. did u see how they bowled?
Bd batmen r not capable of playing in fast and bouncy pitches all of a sudden they need time (like a month) to get adjusted not like aussie player who can adjust right away.
