Zim only play well when BD play them. This Indian bowling attack is not WC yet they cant even score 200. Same goes for Taylor. Ppl call him WC but im yet to see a decent knock from him against Top 8 sides...

I like to disagree! its becoming a trend for international teams losing early wickets... recent WI vs Pak series.. and I am talking about overseas conditions not sub-continent. I think in sub-continent top order batsmen have better chance to scoring good runs. but its true Zimbabwe should do better but economy. Most games overseas will be decided on how well middle and lower order perform

batting in general across all nations is getting worse, talent is there but the youngsters haven't stepped up

Is the wicket really hard to bat on? Mohit Sharma so far has good figures in his debut match. Should've tried the other newbie (Rasool) also.

sorry i didn't understand what do you disagree with

If Indian pacers aren't world class but still manages to bowl out Zimbabwe for cheap scores and the same Zimbabwe batting lineup becomes formidable against our bowlers it tells a picture of the strength of our bowling doesn't it?

Yes our pace department is awful, then again our main pacers did not play against Zimbabwe after the introduction of "new rule". (Robiul's debut and Zia) Mashrafe and Rubel when fully fit should do a decent job. I am not sure about Shafiul

you typed my mind, Zim become beasts when they play against us, specially in Zim,
head to head in Zim they are better than us but their performance vs g8s and our performance vs G8s shows how better we are.
Same goes for Random Taylor,Mazakadza & Vitori who become world class against us.

The worst part about this, from our perspective, is that India's 2nd string side have made ZIM look so out of their depth. We made them look competitive and a far improved side during our last 2 tours. Hopefully that was just a blip and we can at least win if not dominate them in the future when we visit. But this should ring alarm bells for Mushfiqur and Co. In the Shakib era, we dominated ZIM quite thoroughly. 4-1 series were the norm.

Of course a large part of it is mental. ZIM are terrified of any of the top 8 sides. But when they play us, they believe they have nothing to lose or possibly even believe they are better than us. Our boys crap in their pants anytime they play lower ranked sides, and that is a bad sign. I used to laugh at ATMR, but it turns out he is right. If the Vatican had a team, we'd lose to them no matter the format or the venue, even while winning a series against WI/NZ/SL immediately before and after.

At the end of the day, I'd still rather have us losing to associates as long as we get the occaisional wins against G8 sides rather than be ZIM who can only beat us at home.

Interesting thing is I think ZIM would similarly struggle against IRE, although given how the IRE were THIS close to beating PAK 2-0, that might be a knock against the Irish and not the Zims.

yeah would have been worth it. at least rahane is getting a shot, and not as a top order batsman.

Taylor picked up 3 ducks in 5 innings! This from the same guy who a little over a year ago averaged 300+ against NZ.

If ZIM get 5 ODIs at home against India, I think we ought to get the same.
