Default The Qualifers Will be a Walk in the Park

People who are saying we should not underestimate Ireland since they beat us in the past....really of course they beat us in the past because we were a **** team, come 3 spinners in t20 we were going to lose anyway.Fastforward to 2016 we had a very successful Asia cup. Why are we stressing over some puny associates. I mean come on we beat Ireland in their own home as well.Do you really think they can survive 3-4 overs of taskin, mustafiz and al Amin.No Freaking way. Ireland will be decapitated by Bangladesh, our side is full of expirience compared to theirs.I guarantee we wil not lose any matches to associates. If we do I will never post in this forum again.

Assalam Walaikum

Not sure if it will be that easy! Conditions are different.

Even if a game is easy, let's stay humble. We bash indian's and pakistani's for that kind of arrogance, and yet we are prone to it ourself. This is also a reason for other fans in those countries calling us arrogant, annoying, over the top fans etc. A lot of them respect our team now, it's our fans they hate.

Remain humble.

If it turns out to be easy, great. But don't expect it to be. T20 is an unpredictable format. Many of the Associate sides are very good at this format and play quite a few internationals. We, on the other hand, have been rather poor in T20s for years. The momentum from the Asia Cup will be important for sure, but let's not automatically assume that we have turned the corner within the span of one solitary tournament.

And, don't forget about the conditions. We have had one day (!!!) to acclimatize to the elevation (1500 metres above sea level!).

A little more respect for our opponents and the conditions, and a little less pressure on our players, for heaven's sake!

Can someone tell the thread OP, our team is Bangladesh.

We have lost previously to the following countries in limited overs.

-Honk Kong
- Ireland
- Dutch (Twice)
- Afghanistan
- Scotland
- Zimbabwe ( at home, twice last series)

Please lets not get carried away by our performances at home in the Asia cup.

Dharmsala is a high altitude ground, where a players stamina and fitness is put into serious test. Our lack of match practice and potential rain curtailed matches will reduce the gap between us and the associates. Also, bear in mind these associates have no pressure whatsever. They have already acheived their target by reaching this stage of the tournament.

Lets be humble and hope for the best.

Wow. Hong Kong almost chased down 160 and Scotland on their way to 170 agsint a "strong" Afghan bowling attack. Underestimating anyone will be our downfall.

Please stop openingthreads with zero substance.

If it wasn't for the high elevation, I'd have said you were right. But t20s anything can happen. We have lost to 7 associate, sodes over the years. By comparison, Zimbabwe have only lost to 3.
