Thumbs down What happen to Taposh Baysa???

This guy was the only fast bowler saviour of Bangladesh. Just because he tried ICL, he is banned for 10 years!!! What is wrong with the world? He should be allowed to be back to the national team. Shafiul Islam, Murtaza, Baisha and Rubel can be a formidable combo. Three or Two in a national side from this combo can be very lethal. I still don't understand how a successful player like Baisha is banned for 10 years. Doesn't make sense? Is he a victim of politics???

He was okay during his playing days but Rubel and Shafiul have improved as fast bowlers and Nazmul and Mashrafe are our best fast bowlers. If Abul Hasan can be guided and nurtured properly on how to bowl accurately good line and length then he will become Bangladesh best fast bowler in the next 2-3 years. He already has a strong body and a bit tall so no need to go back to past regulars which hasn't really gotten us anywhere. For now Bangladesh are an improving team that has started to become competitive but if Bangladesh want to become a top team then they need to put their focus on first class Cricket and fast bowling. Altering some of your Cricket pitches and creating pace academies is a start.

Well, for a starter, Taposh had his ban lifted with the rest of the ICL party couple of years back and since then playing in the domestics.

If you are meaning our beloved late national team spinner then this must be the pathetic joke of the year.

He had played for Barishal in NCL this year though he is from Khulna. He took 14 wickets at an average of 26.36 from 6 matches.

I always wondered what happened to all the good pacers like Bikash, Talha, Taposh, Rasel, Sharif.

We keep discarding good pacers and get new ones , but for what purpose ?

I remember the pacer probably named Sazid who made a good stir among fans and also BC, he played in our last New Zealand tour.

Guys ZimSlog clearly is mixing up the late Rana with Monzurul Islam who had a five-for on debut against them. His mention of Tareq Aziz gives away that he is speaking from the context of BD pacers who have done well against Zimbabwe

I miss Taposh. We are not the best in pace bowling, but I do fancy the quartet of Taposh, Mashrafe, Rube and Shafiul. I also liked Monjurul Islam. I think these are all fine pace bowlers who could benefit from better coaching and more practice on their part.

While are you at let us resurrect Daulat and Niaz! What are you thinking, Sir? Boishya can climb his way back into the folds by performing in the Domestics. He did not really lit a fire there as I recall. But I agrree that we should pay more attention to our fast bowelers as we do not have very many of these. Is Taposh getting a chance in BCL? May be he should. He was not an express when he played for the national team. But one does not need to be super fast to trouble batsmen as Kumar just proved against Pakistan. Taposh ( and majority of our seamers) and Kumar's speeds are comparable. This is a general statement. We should teach (if it is possible) our bowelers to swing both ways. It was intriguing to watch Kumar setting up the batsman with a couple of outswingers and then getting the scalp with one that nipped back in.

Reports suggest that Taposh Boisha will make a come back some time next year - as a SLA.
