Fast bowlers may get early swing on chennai pitch but ball comes nicely on bat which is good for batsmen to play shots. Have you seen how brutally pace bowlers got murdered yesterday ? Kulkarni who got 3 wickets gave away 46 runs in 4 overs, Pollard went over 8, Hilfenhaus 11, even slinga malinga went over 10 p/o. Among all bowlers, only bhajji, ashwin, jadeja were economical and all of them are spinners.

Yesterday's playoff was in Bangalore, not in Chennai. Most of the matches in Chennai produced low scoring ones, where wicket kept low and assisted spinners. You just can't drop one of your more potential match winners after just one bad patch, and specially when he won two MoM out of his last 7 games.
Yes, Shak gave around 9 an over in just one match, which wicketless Lee is almost regularly doing

in that case there'll be no strike bowler with the new ball..which imo is very unlikely...

exactly bhai. But knowing KKR Mgt who are mostly accused of making brainless decisions, i wont be surprised if they decide to bench Shakib in this very important match of KKR.

Shak would never get dropped for his bowling, however, the KKR management has ample reason to drop him for his batting. In this IPL his batting has been nothing better than a tail-ender and to make matters worse KKR's overall middle order seems really brittle and slow paced. So far it's Gambhir who is carrying the team's batting and even though that has been sufficient so far but it was only because KKR is usually chasing moderate totals. As Delhi showed partially, the KKR spinners including Shakib can be attacked and if a team with a strong middle order like Chennai or Delhi, batting first, scores 160+ against KKR then it will be trouble for KKR

hmm Ganguli nije Tamim re kono chance dai nai ekhon bigger moto Gautam ke budhhi dichhe je Shakib ke baad dite.. how does it make sense on a turning wicket?? Cullum could easily be benched to bring Lee and Bisla can do a far better job than Cullum as an openning partner of Gambhir...
"I don't think he would recover in four days time. Lee should be brought in, that would mean Shakib Al Hasan would have to sit out. (Manoj) Tiwary would make it up in the batting (by replacing Balaji)," he said."
