No doubt Bangladesh will get more support in Eden than Pakistan as there are lots of Indian Bengalis whose ancestors are from Bangladesh. In Kolkata you will get always thousands of Bangladeshi visiting for purpoae of Business, medical or studies

I dont know about that tbh, just look at our forum. some of the sane members from kolkata has lost it. just look at neel here. some of our trolls in FB has gone past the limit. I kinda feel for them. I felt really bad last WC when the afgan players were acting like arrogant trolls.

Have you guys ever read Anondobajar or any of the Kolkata magazines. They make Utpol Shubhro seem like Stone Cold Steve Austin with their emotional prose on "Banglar cricketer ra ..." "dui banglar dol" etc. Heck on some articles it almost comes off that they are conflicted against rooting for India vs. rooting for us. In other words, expect Pakistan to be facing a vociferous crowd that will be rooting for us.

dada ra love us.. so we ll get the majority of support. They wont clapping Pak for sure. Think when Sarkar hits boundary... all the dada will be on their feet

Side note, this will be a huge tussle. Pak players have been boosted up after Imran Khan gave em an inspirational speech

I would say 50-50.

That i am happy with, as long as fans do not have unrealistic expectations and burn our own players for losing all the games. We must accept that in this group losing all the games is a distinct possibility

It is true for all the teams in this group.

It would be preposterous if Eden crowd choose to support Pakistan against us. May be we don't have Glenn Maxwell or Mitchell Starc in our side, but we are able to catch any big (!) fish on a given day.

I don't see Pakistan can take a revenge of their Asia Cup loss, as they don't really have quality batsmen who is in good form. Their bowling depends solely on one-man-show which is not likely to cut through our batting lineup which looks indomitable.

This. The stadium might be empty but whatever crowd you have -the ones not from Pak will be on BD's side. Why are people even asking?

Bangla is a strong uniter my friend don't forget ... Our national Anthem is by a non Bangladeshi Bangalee that's how strong bangla identity is.

Why am I even seeing these types of post in this forum? some two year old Pakistani immigrant from Oman might be asking this type of questions.

Neel or any other from kolkala will always support India first and when this forum is going all against India.. why wouldn't they bring the worse of them?

No matter what they say.. When not playing india .. they will be rocking to Ayub bacchu song and claiming Tamim has Kolkata roots.

I don't care who supports who. I just want us to beat Pakistan 16th March, and get the World T20 up and running.

This. It will also help to prepare BD players to win against a rough crowd if there is no support... Because believe you me.... the game against India the crowd will be HOSTILE against BD.. Hostile i tell you....

Bangladesh needs some cool headed kohli type pissing of.... I hope sabbir does his "shut up " celebration there against India game that is... only can dream...

Must win for BD pak match... they are the weakest team in the group.

Yah we should go in with the mentality no support or love while in India. But maybe that will inspire the team even more knowing there are supporters back home following so it doesn't matter.

Any support should be a bonus, but focus on the job in hand. Need to focus on Pakistan atm.

Does anyone know if Mustafiz will be back for the game against Pakistan?

The Pakistan team seems similar to the one we faced in Asia Cup. And our batting has improved drastically since then.

I read somewhere Mustafiz could be fit for that match though it wasn't confirmed yet. Addition of him could be a big boost atm. Time for Sarkar, Mushfiq and Riyadh to step up and bring glory for us

isn't Kolkata 6hours bus ride from Bangladesh? Eden Gardens will turn into Mirpor by Bangladeshis.

It takes more than 10 hours from dhaka by bus. Not sure how many fans could actually swarm there in 2 days
